I just received a letter from the NVC. Can my fiance schedule the interview now? Do I have to send her the original of the letter or just a copy? What about the NOA2? Do I send her the original or the copy?

The letter says that she will receive a packet but I thought they didn't send those in the Philippines.

Does she need a letter from the embassy?

How does she change her address? What number does she call?

If you have the case # for I129F, then you can call 202-663-1225 .

Option 1

Option 0

They would be able to tell you whether the petition / case has been received by the consulate in Manila. If "yes" then has the consulate generated packet 3 and has it been sent to the beneficiary.

Once it is confirmed that it is already in the Embassy wait for a week before calling the Embassy to schedule your interview. They dont put it immediately in thier data base so you should give an allowance before calling to set an appointment.

To set your appoinment:

The Immigrant Visa Information Call Center which can be reached at 1-909-101-7878 is available Monday to Friday, 8 am to 6 pm (Philippine Time). Callers in the USA can contact the Call Center at 1-888-877-9888. There is a fee assessed to callers by the call center for its services.

Good luck!

The USEM will send a letter to her to set up an appointment. I waited for 2 weeks before I called the call center to schedule so I dont need to waste my time and money since it is expensive.

Packet 3 is only 1 page letter informing you that you have to set up an appointment with your MNL case # on it. Some beneficiary get it while others dont received anything.

Call the NVC for a change of address.

Just try calling the NVC number I gave you and tell them about the change of address of the beneficiary and at the same time, email the US Embassy in Manila to let them know. When making inquiries always put your case number in the subject line.

The letter says that she will receive a packet but I thought they didn't send those in the Philippines.

Does she need a letter from the embassy?

How does she change her address? What number does she call?

If you already have a letter from NVC, you need to note the manila case number and use that to schedule your interview. try to give it a 1 - 1 1/2 week before you schedule the interview. The 18 dollar pin allows you to call them twice.

The packet three contains the information needed in the interview. Your mail should have a URL link. The URL link is where you download the packet three.

USEM would send you and your fiancee a mail to inform you that you could schedule an interview, but you dont have to wait for it to schedule the medical and interview.

Just send her a copy of NVC letter for her to go to SLEC for the medical. SLEC does not need any appointment.

What is the purpose in the change of address? If this is for the delivery of the visa, she could change it after the interview, she could update it with Air 21 after the interview.

You would be sending original documents for the interview, you could include the NOA2 together with the other needed docuemtns.

You could check my timeline. You dont really have to wait for a long time especially if you are K1. With K1, you could schedule your own interview appointment.

Goodluck with your interview.
