AOS with no interview?

Hi all,

My wife and I have been waiting since December on her I-485 AOS application. We did the biometrics appointment a few months back, and were hoping/expecting to get a NOA with an interview date any day now.

So just today we received an I-797C NOA stating "Welcome to the USA - This is to notify you that your application for permanent residence has been approved." ... "We will soon mail you a new Permanent Residence Card. You should receive it within the next 3 weeks."

From what I see on the forums and guides on this awesome site, it looks like interviews aren't always required for AOS approval, but I just want to be certain we're not missing something that will jeopardize her status.

Does this mean we're good to go, and we just need to wait for the green card to arrive? I haven't even had a chance to call USCIS to ask them yet, I'm just anxious to figure this out! :-)

thanks,

Scott & Subin

Congratulations doenges!! You should be getting a card production notice soon.

@A&N - Many K1 visa applicants are not required to go through an interview. The suggested reasoning is they are newly married and do not have a lot of evidence to present at the interview.
