yep... once over it is easier.... just let him know that you would like to make sure that all the paperwork is in order for the interview. i think i had everything to Sara 2 weeks before hers, and kept calling to make sure she understood what it was to take with her... think i annoyed her and was "badgering" on my end :P

dont worry so.. it will work out provided you communicate needs/desires/wants and that they are acknowledged. but yes, the paperwork is needed, i'm not sure why if he has it all completed why he doesnt send it though... but thats just me.

In his defense he did just get the paperwork last week because he was in Costa Rica when I sent it. But if it were me I would have had it sent the next day.

cristy,

Your profile indicates that you and Casey have spent 3 weeks together since you first became acquainted? If it bothers you now, do you think this difference in your styles will melt away when you're with each other 24/7?

Get used to it (both of you), or good luck.

:( What is the deal here --- Poor Crissy is now being counseled on her relationship -- as if she has spent only three weeks with this man and does not even know him --- What about the time she has spent communicating with him over the phone and email and internet --- does that not amount to anything --- every couple has adjustment periods -- even if you spend years with each other prior to getting married ---

;) I get along better with my guy and communicate better and even disagree better than in the relationship I spent 6 years in before moving in together --- I follow my heart and my gut and understand there will be bumps in the road --- those bumps make you stronger --- understanding your differences and respecting them makes for a better couple in the long run -- Go Crissy ---- I respect you and remember things will work out --- everyone is human and when you are with him the things that look like procrastications may not look like it when you share in the responsibilities and you can actually see what is keeping him from things --- B)

The last girl who complained about her fiance procrastinating was just the other day and people asked her if she was sure she wanted to marry him.... I do remember that I think it was just yesterday. She may have been a little more angry but people did say it!

It always surprises me how people jump to the are you sure you wanna marry him/her. Because of one thing? Because I am stressed out with my interview/moving/leaving all I have ever known/packing/getting married/combining 2 families? We are both far more committed to each other than to let things like this make us destroy our commitment and love for each other.

Of course I am sure or we would not be where we are. Yes we have only spent 3 weeks in each others physical presence....many have spent less, many have spent more. I know him better than I knew my childrens father. And yes I am sure there will be ups and downs and getting used to each other and all that. But yes I am sure I want to marry him. I am simply venting.

Am I the only person to be totally stressed and over reactive a week before the interview?

I never said you shouldn't get married, just that the other day someone posted almost the same thing and people freaked out! Gooooood luck to you!

yep. welcome to VJ :D

seriously though.. you should be getting the papers soon.. just ask politely for them to ensure that you have them at least a cpl of days prior to the interview.. just to check things over (signatures n such)

Yes they did say it --- didn't make it right for me then either --- most of us are here because we all have something in common --- and that something is very frustrating --- having someone make judgements on whether you are or should at this point question your relationship certainly does not ease the stress --- being realistic is one thing taking her stress and amplifying it by asking her to question the relationship is a whole other ... I have been reading Crissys Posts and she is in the Hot seat --- getting not just herself ready but her boys as well --- I am sure if Casey was up there with her this all would seem less stressful to her. But the situation is, that she is here lamenting because she wants others to hear her and calm her last minute stresses. nuff said :)

Sure enough, but that also does not preclude me from stating my opinion on that as well --- and by the way where is there a name for me of Cindy --- just curious---
