Hello,

I filed in June 2008. Nothing has changed since I did my biometrics in July. I wanted to talk to someone to see if there is any more information but the number on the USCIS website does not give the option to talk to a human. Does anyone know what the number is?

Many thanks,

Kiki

Here's a trick to get connected directly to a human that works with many phone systems (including USCIS). When you dial the number and hear the greeting message, don't press ANYTHING. The system might repeat instructions a couple times or ask you a few times to press a key, but it will ultimately assume that you have a rotary phone and will eventually connect you directly to a human.

K1: 01/15/2009 (mailed I-129F) - 06/23/2009 (visa received)

AOS: 08/08/2009 (mailed I-485, I-765, & I-131) - 10/29/2009 (received GC)

Finding a human to talk to, getting any useful information outside of processing dates already posted on the internet is another thing. Would contact your senator or congressmans office instead. They both have in state offices where their immigration people work, and they have special telephone numbers and e-mail addresses to contact your field or service office directly. Do require the immigrant to sign a release first, so that my take a couple of extra days, unless you want to personally visit their office.

Very simple, call the 1-800 number and then choose menu option 1 for the first menu, 2 for the second menu, and 3 for the third menu and it'll put you through to a representative. ^__^

Follow the leads to change address{I think punch 3}. They'll ask if you want to change your address and tell them no and why you called. Used to work a couple months ago. Don't know if it still does.

The sad thing is most the info you get from them is incorrect. If you bug the operator enough they'll refer you to a IO that "may" know" a bit more.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

I called this morning and when it came to the part where they tell you to press 1 if you have your number, 2 if you don't know what the receipt number is, and 3 if you lost your number, do option 3 (you lost your number). You will get a rep. After trying everything else, that is what worked. Good Luck!
