My stepson will be returning to Ukraine to finish his college after he receives his CGC. He plans to be out of the country for longer than a year so he will need a reentry permit. How long will it take for him to receive the reentry permit after he applies? Thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

I suggest you contact your local office. W ehave a similar situation and the local office is helping us and making sure our son gets everything on time. Also be sure to put his departure date in the application and the local embassy he can receive documents. It is possible they would forward the document to Kiev for him to pick up if he does not have it when he leaves.
