please advice!! serious prob and mistake regarding mariage certificate

hi everyone

i have a question about my friend..they got married the petitioner(husband) who is in usa had a previous marriage and got divorced long back..and the beneficiary is from india.. they got married in india and got their marrriage registered in india..and in their marriage certificate their is a column of information to write the marital status at the time of marriage..and in case of the petitioner it was to be written divorcee at the time of marriage.. but they wrote unmarried. and nobody thought about it..because nobody thought it could be a mistake and because the previous marriage was terminated so the groom was unmarried...in other words they didnot even think about it.

Now when they noticed and realised it they r worried as they have attached the previous marriage and divorce papers(pf petitioner husband) with their I-130 application. Can uscis/ or embassy at time of interview ask about it..Can it lead to visa rejection?

Please reply back with ur opinions if any of ur friends had similar situation.

he was in fact unmarried... Unmarried can mean never married, divorced, widowed

thankyou i also think so..they didnot even submit previous marriage divorce certificate(of petitioner husband) during marriage registration..lets see what hapens.

i also agree unmarried and divorced should not create any prob..

My translation said "widowed" when in fact I was divorced. I just mailed in the certificate, translation, divorce decrees like they asked for and never had any problem. Don't sweat the small stuff.
