With all that is going on what the heck is he doing making an appearance on Jay Leno? That time could have been used to try to solve the mess we're in.

Maybe I'm old fashioned but I like my President to act more Presidential if that makes sense.

I agree. Pretty odd to go on a talk show as a President because for the very reason that everyone will scrutinize everything you say. Poor choice of words and bad decision to even go on an entertainment talk show.

Did anyone watch the show yet? I didn't see it, so I have no idea what the context was. As I said before he did this, I am not sure whether it's wise for a sitting leader to go on such shows or not. I am of a mind that exposure of this sort is probably less important than say, appearing on a serious political program - if such a thing should exist. I'd really like to see Obama on a program like Parkinson, or Frost. That would be worth watching.

it's probably nothing more than a PR move to make himself appear more for the people and less about being a politician. it's a smart move in that case as it makes him seem "reachable" to the masses. however, it does not really seem to be in good taste either...oh well.
