Is that your basset hound? ^_^

Sure is. Her name is Bella and she's about 1.5 years old. She's the love of my life.

 me looovzzz da' basset hounds! I'm kind of traumatized because I've always wanted one but haven't because of lack of a spacious backyard. I want the dog to have a huge space to run and play.

Are they hard to train? loud? or have health issues? because they tell me that English Bulldogs, which were also on my list have issues as they get old.

Playing soccer with my English Bulldog is among my fondest memories of my teen years. He did not have many health problems that any other dog would've had.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

 She's the best! Out of all the dogs I've had, she has the most character. We don't have a big backyard either but we take her for lots of walks. Actually, I've been told she's an incredibly fit basset, considering most owners will feed their basset until they keel over. Bassets are incredibly motivated by food so it can be hard to train them without an incentive.

She doesn't bark often but when she does, it's a loud howl. They "bay" like a wolf I guess. Pretty funny. What I love abotu her is that if you want to exercise her, she is up for it. If you need her to just lie around and do nothing, she's up for that too. She's just a beautiful dog and I highly recommend the breed because they are SO easy going. The only few issues bassets can have is bloat (when they intake too much air when doing things like eating) which can kill them and also the stress on their legs. One of bella's legs is completely turned out. It looks disgusting if you are looking at it from a certain angle, exorcist style.

I have heard English bulldogs are health issue prone but I'd still love to get one. I think you just have to be invested in their health and make sure you take care of them properly. Not all dog owners are up for a dog that is high maintenance.

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

Most pure breeds are prone to health issues. It comes from inbreeding, a little like being in Norfolk.

F**k off Manc scum!!

 Just kidding. Your boy, the gelled tumbler, will still probably win you the league. Damn # 18!!!!!!!! I hope it goes to the wire!

Watch your mouth, scouser ;) And hey, leave Paul Scholes alone...although knowing you lot, there's nothing much you will leave alone.

I think he was talking about Christian Ronaldo.

Ah yes I figured Ronaldo was the gelled tumbler. however, when he said #18 I figured he was talking about scholes! haha I wasn't sure there. Now I get it in full.

What really annoyed me about this sport, just too many ball hogs, no team play or plays, one guy running down the field kicking the ball with no help from team members or kicking it back and forth to make plays. Guy gets so far and loses it, opposite team does the same thing, so basically just a bunch of running back and forth.

I don't really know which game you watched but I'm pretty sure it wasn't one of these...

There is more technique on kicking a football and score than just holding an American football really tight and running past the scoring line. Technique Vs Muscle

Some great goals but its a bit old. It needs about 15 lionel messi goals in there too.

As for CL Liverpool to beat Chelski, Bayern to beat barca (barca weak at the back), Man Ure to beat Porto and Arsenal to beat Villareal (just).

I'm so glad you were wrong about Barca

muahahaha :star:

I'm more upset about the other tie. It was one of the craziest 90 minutes of football you will ever see. I'm proud of the boys they put in one hell of an effort. A day before the Hillsborough 20th anniversary too. YNWA!
