I hear ya! I think my finance and I are going to be paying for all this years after the fact  Thankfully my soon to be in laws are very helpful!

Filling fee+Medical+Garadisil vaccination+Travel from Southern Ontario to Montreal+Wedding+honeymoon in Florida+AOS... Probably more I can't think of... BUT its worth it in the end. I'm only going to do this once! I know everybody says that but REALLY... only once!

To make the Montreal experience slightly less painful my American is coming with me and we are going to make a mini-vacation out of it... I'm more interested in spending some time in Ottawa to visit friends and see the capital

How much was the gardisil vaccination?

Looking around 150-180 per shot, ttl of 3 shots. Phone around for the best price!!1

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Awe man.. I would LOVE to do that.. :( *sigh.. have to hold out for that trip.. we are hoping to go to Myrtle Beach in April for an extended weekend :) Mostly the beach, but if there is a little cashola perhaps House of Blues for a concert... or Dixieland Stampede (been there but I think Hubby would enjoy eating sans utensils).. i lived in Myrtle Beach a while back.

We might be hitting Myrtle Beach as well, but not in the same trip. John's mom is going to visit and we have to drive her down there to his aunt's place. We'll probably make a weekend of it, so that John can spend more time with her (She has a brain tumor and has decided that she's not going to take her chemo meds anymore. Would rather live her life to the fullest before her time instead of being even more sick from the drugs trying to cure a fatal disease).

Yep. I just went through the drugstore I get all my prescriptions to make life easier and I'm paying $178... I probably should have shopped around but I wasn't that smart about it...

J&K: I'm going to Disney too! That's exciting. We're only going for 6 days and I want to do all the Disney parks... and Bill wants to do Universal... we'll see if we can get it all done

How much was the gardisil vaccination?

If you have benefits with your company it might not cost much at all. Mine cost $0.35.

Wow you're lucky... most benefits do not cover the shot... actually I'd say 99% of them don't!

Yeah for sure! I'm still on my dads medical plan and it doesn't cover any of it. I also have a medical coverage plan through school and it doesn't cover any of it either... 0 for 2!

I wrote a letter to my school's insurance company stating why they should cover at least part of the cost of the shot and they agreed to cover half and my school gave me a discount anyway. It never hurts to ask....
