Main thing is to show proof of meeting in the last 2 years and letters of intent to marry.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

It is usually a good idea to include some letters or emails from each of you and copies of telephone bills with the foreign number highlighted. Remember you are intending to show that this is the person you intend to marry. Showing a continuing relationship is an important aspect.

Good luck and learn patience. You will need it.

I agree! Just throw in a few emails pics and phone logs to show an ongoing relationhip, and it will be in your packet already when it comes time for embassy interview. A little overkill is a good thing when dealing with the immigration officials

Those extras won't hurt of course, but they are completely unnecessary. USCIS is not looking for evidence of a relationship, and they will not deny your filing on the basis of their perception of your relationship. That is the State Department's job. Emails and phone records are unnecessary at this point in the game. Photos showing the two of you together are very helpful. Boarding passes, hotel receipts, visa and/or entry/exit stamps, and anything else that puts the two of you in the same physical proximity of each other within the last two years is all they are looking for. They could care less if you have called her a hundred times or zero times.

Any time you deal with the government, there's a really good rule to remember - KISS. (Keep it simple, stupid.)

Less is more when sending in the initial petition. You should have a good cover sheet, THE CHECK!, the actual K-1 stuff and then, as mox said, the "proof" of meeting. That's about all you really need at this stage in the game. Anything more is wasting your time and their time. You know what happens when you waste govt. employee's time? "NEXT!"

They're looking for certain details. Include them, and you'll be fine. Anything else is just extra BS that they have to move out of the way to get to what they're looking for.

Personally I did include a section in my recently submitted petition titled Proof of Relationship. I submitted summary lists of emails, SMS messages and Skype calls. No actual emails, etc. I also included in this section a picture of Alla with her engagement ring and a copy of the receipt for it.

But as stated, it is not necessary.

What I will suggest, if you have both, is submit a copy of the photo page off both of your passports along with the photos that are part of your Proof of Meeting section. This, in my opinion, will match the names with the faces in the photos of your meeting proof.

Good luck. Phil

The advice given here is all good. You can certainly bury them in mounds of evidence, but something just over what is requested is a good way to go too. You can always bring everything to the interview later to cover yourself, though very little is usually requested there too!

Hmmm...well since the government hasn't actually become progressive enough yet to allow same-sex couple K-1's, it should actually be pretty obvious in most cases as to who's who in your photos. :) But even in the cases where you wind up with a couple Pats, the instructions do say to write the name of the person on the backside of the passport-style photos that are required to be submitted with your application. So really, the only passport copy you should be including is the USC's, and only if you're using the passport in lieu of a birth certificate. (and in that case you'll need to be sure to include every page of the USC's passport.)

We submitted statements of intent (as required) that gave some detail, about ten pics of us together and Vikas family (without dates), and a couple of plane itineraries with my name dated within the past two years and ticket stubs. That was the proof, and it was plenty for Kiev. It looks like the same is true for Moscow. Good luck!
