No, but more importantly it is giving the VJ doomsayers ulcers. Some do not like any good news at all, even though the market upswing may be short lived, it is still enough to send them into convulsions.

I am ecstatic that the market has been going up every day for the past week and a half. I will admit, I am the one who started a thread just before this rise in the market about how Obama is a danger to the economy. I even said he was more a threat to the economy than bin Laden (I know it was something that should not have been wrote, and I really didn't believe what I wrote).

However, the day of his inauguration the markets collapsed. The day after they collapsed. After his stimulus bill got announced the markets collapsed. When Geitner first gave details about his strategy about saving the banks the markets collapsed. The day after Presidents Day when Obama signed the stimulus bill into law the markets collapsed. Every damn day since he got inaugurated the markets have been collapsing (until the beginning of last week). January was one of the worst months in the history of the Dow and same with February.

To make a long story short I made a big investment (for me) in a fast moving and volatile stock. A $12,000 investment I made in the second week of February turned into about $3,150 by March 9th .

I did not check to see when I started my thread about Obama being a danger to America but let's just say I am pretty sure it was around March 9th when my account value was cut by 3/4ths and I had reasons to be angry.

For some $12,000 is nothing. But I am in my 20s so it is a lot of money to me. Since March 9th my $3,150 has grown back to about $9,700....

So anyhow, I hope this run continues cause I'd like to break even ASAP.

Had I waited until March 9th to make the same $12,000 investment I'd have over $35,000 right now.

So again, I am rooting for Obama and the markets.

Just how I would expect one of the naysayers to respond. It should never have been at 14,000 to begin with. It was all part of the house of cards. Reality sucks.

Good news, it dropped today and oil is up. That should give the whiners some joy.

Hopefully they didn't just yet as they can hope that if falls again. Heaven forbid that this stimulus and bailout help the economy. The whiners will have to find new things to gripe about.

Personally I am happy to have a bit of good news. We have a loooooooong way to go.

Husband lost almost 30k in the market last year today he made 3k atleast he got 10 percent back from the cost he lost last year. Not bad.
