Hello everyone, I just found this site yesterday and joined today. I wish I had found this site sooner!!

I think everything is going well for my fiancee and I. She is currently in Manila, she finished her medical exam yesterday with no problems (she is an RN hehe), and got her vaccinations. Her interview is scheduled for March 25th. She has already been to the guidance session at PRISM and paid the fees at CFO, we just need to return there after she gets the visa.

As I've been reading the forums, it looks like the turnaround time to receive the visa after it has been approved ranges from four days to two weeks. Has it taken longer for anyone else?

My fiancee, Monica, will be told at the end of the interview that the visa has been approved correct? When you call USEM, they say they don't tell you right away, but everything else I have read seems to indicate they tell you at the end of the interview.

When I fly over to pickup my fiancee, what does everyone suggest....will it be cheaper to buy two round trip tickets, or should I buy one way tickets? I'm trying to decide what is best.

And I think we have everything ready for the interview. I made the interview appointment over the phone, so we don't have the packet from USEM, but we have the email appointment letter printout, the three forms (156, 156K, 157), passport, birth certificate, I-134 (with W2s, tax returns, etc), NBI clearance, evidences of meeting and genuine engagement, CENOMAR form, and fees paid at BDO.

Am I missing anything? hehe, we are so nervous waiting now, we are so close to our dream.

Thanks for letting me ramble.

Craig

Welcome to Visa Journey!

Round trip tickets are almost always cheaper than two one way tickets. In your case, price it the different ways and see what works out cheaper. I fly PAL just for the conveniece of the shorter flights, and the price is comparable. You can visit them online and check the prices out before booking a flight.

Good luck!

My wife and daughter also flew PAL. my considerations were the ease of transfer when they flew from Davao to Manila. then a direct from Manila to SFO. it was just a hop, skip and jump for me to pick them up at the airport.

Welcome to VJ.

The turn around varies per petition or case. Ours took 9 weeks from after the interview with no RFEs. And we were already married.

Check with the airlines on two round trip tickets. Some airlines will not honoe the ticket if someone is not on the first leg of the flight. Some have purchased a rounf trip ticket with the fiancee ticket starting in the Phils.

Welcome to Visa Journey!

After your fiancée receives her pink slip and pays the visa delivery fee to air21, she will have her visa in her hand in as little as a few days...but normally in about a week. Good luck with the interview and with a speedy visa delivery!

You wife will have to apply in State in USA and submit paperwork in order to be a RN in USA, She will have to sit for NCLEX and pass to be a RN in USA.

Round trip tickets can be cheaper, some times. In our case a one way ticket was cheaper for my fiance.

Good Luck...........
