How long you gonna wait after RFE!!!

Hi, Guys...hope my case makes all of you feel better....see my timeline first:

22 Dec 05 USCIS received all applications

28 Dec 05 NOA for I-765, I-130 and I-485

Jan 06 Requested for Addtional Evidence of I-485(The proof of income)

31 Jan 06 Received my response

8 Feb 06 Both Biometrics were done for I-765 and I-485

15 Jun 06 EAD's approved

17 Jun 06 Received EAD and Initial Interview Letter for AOS(yeh!!)

I know, it took so long to get to the step of interview, I believe that my case was forgetten since RFE of I-485. What my husband and I did: made infopass appointments (for work permit), called customer service more than 9 times(total), kept checking on this forum what other people did and wrote a letter to our congressman. In my opinion, if your case hasn't been updated for a long period of time(more than 90 days), do like what I did: try to follow up for I-765 first, once USCIS open your file, they may realize that they should set up the appointment for you as well. I don't think they want to procastinate their work, but they are either just too busy to look up or they simply forgot about us.

Anyway, because of this website and because of your advice, we finally got the interview appointment. Thanks to all you guys!!!! The last step is our interview, hopefully no more obstacles and no more surprises. Good Luck everyone!!!!

Looking at your timeline it does not look like you waited any longer than normal... but good to hear you got a interview date....
