do they make you have vaccinations to things that youre not immune to? ie will they refuse the medical exam as complete if you dont want some of the vaccinations? some of these have mercury in them and I am currently dealing with mercury poisoning and really alarmed about being forced to have them. I am an Aussie and moved to Ontario with my ex and went through the visa process here and wasnt subjected to vaccination issues.

In your case, with a mercury issue already, your doctor may be able to write you a letter saying that you are contraindicated for any vaccination with mercury in it as he does not want your mercury levels even marginally increased. I can't guarantee that will be enough to prevent the vaccination requirement, but I would think that it would be sufficient.

I agree with TayL. There are reasons that you can be exempt from vaccinations, one of which is an allergy or reaction to elements of the vaccines. If you get your doctor to write out a letter you should probably be just fine. I would also get a titre test as well. Some vaccines stay around longer than they are thought to. I thought I'd have to have another tetanus shot because the time period was up, but it was still there in my body so I didn't need it.

In my personal opinion noone should get vaccines with Mercury in them! We're worried about fish, but giving our kids mercury directly through vaccination?! Yikes.
