There seems to be a fairly large group of VJers that are being approved without a 693.

However, when we decided to take the risk, we located the closest cheap CS and were ready to go to her as soon as we got an RFE. Like I said it is a calculated risk but it means that you can send off for your EAD and AP, (neither of which require the vaccinations), start their processing and then deal with possible GC delays at a later date.

If you decide not to transfer to the 693 you are taking a risk that you will received an RFE but it can be a calculated risk.

I had my medical done in april 2008, and received DS3025

I sent that in with my AOS in September 2008 and received GC with no RFE in March 2009.

So, you didn't go to a CS and such? WOW! I am starting to think on trying that.

NO NO NO!! DO NOT RISK AN RFE. LOOK UP DR. ARNOLD'S INFORMATION ON THIS WEBSITE, CIVIL SURGEON THAT WE ALL VJERS TYPICALLY USE. SHE IS VERY EASY TO USE. YOU SEND HER A COPY OF YOUR VACCINATION AND SHE TRANSCRIBES IT FOR YOU FOR ONLY 30 DOLLARS AND SENDS IT BACK TO YOU LESS THAN 2 DAYS. PM ME IF YOU NEED MORE INFO.

Hi all, Vika asked me to post this up out of nervousness. She has a vaccination documentation worksheet (in English), officially stamped, from the clinic in Kiev where she had her medical exam. SHe wonders in the worksheet alone is sufficient to get her past the filing requirement. She read on another site that she also needs to see a doctor here to put the vaccination records in some other official form. Thanks for the help!

Brad, it is all we needed.

Here is the answer to your question, your wife still should go to

Civil Surgeon to do part b (showed in red).

What if I am a K nonimmigrant visa holder and

already had a medical exam overseas?

A. K-1 fiancé(e) or a K-2 child of a K-1 fiancé(e), or as a

B. K-3 spouse of a U.S. citizen or a K-4 child of a K-3

spouse of a U.S. citizen, and

C. You received a medical examination prior to

admission, then-

a. You are not required to have another medical

examination as long as your Form I-485,

Application to Register Permanent Residence or

Adjust Status, is filed within one year of your

overseas medical examination.

b. You will, however, be required to Part 1,

Information about you, and submit the vaccination

section of Part 2 with your adjustment of status

application. A designated civil surgeon must

complete the vaccination section and Part 5, the

Civil Surgeon's Certification.

It will cost a couple of hundred dollars.

GOOD LUCK !.....

I know am so gullible. Just trying to save cost as much as I can but yeah you're right, I may spend more when I'll take the risk.

I'll be at Dr. Arnold's tomorrow since we live nearby Austin. Btw, Dr. Arnold is a HE.

Hmmm...tough process huh!

Brad:

The designated medical clinic in Kiev is a designated civil surgeon for these purposes. They completed the worksheet in English for Vika as they did for Alla and Pasha. Absolutely nothing else was asked for. I sent you the entire list of items I sent with both AOS packages. We were never asked for any other document of any type at any time. Not even proof of joint bank account...nothing. Not a question asked in the AOS interview (except re-affirmiation of the answers to questions on the I-485) not a single question about immunizations, evidence, realtionship. Nothing. What you already have IS the vaccination part mentioned above.

In the AOS process, you do not receive "RFE's as in the I-129f process. You would get a letter of missing or needed items to bring to your interview, and then you would know it is necessary or not, do not to go to the additional expense unless they say you must. Your case would not be delayed by this.

Unless Alla AND Pasha's AOS were just some sort of "fluke" and they forgot about the vaccine requirements on BOTH adjustments, you do not need anything other than the worksheet Vika received in Kiev. I notice none of the other respondents have a fiancee in Ukraine and perhaps the medical clinic where they went does not offer this service. Also none are from FSU countries where all the children pretty much got all the necessary vaccines, so that ay explain the difference

Back in 2007... things and forms and instructions have changed in the past 2 years.

Be on the lookout for the new forms and instructions dated June 2008.

It worked for us in January 2009.

Sorry, Pay, when I said none of the others were from Ukraine, I meant none of the respondents saying they needed the civil surgeon.

We have another AOS coming up in a couple months for Sergey. I can tell you Brad, I won't even be thinking about this question. His AOS will be hand delivered to the officer handling our case in St Albans the day after he arrives for summer vacation from Ukraine, with the the DS3025 we get from the Kiev medical clinic and nothing else.

Hello to all!

but first of all want to congratulate Brad and Vika with their medding!!! (F)(F)(F) How we say : " Ñîâåò äà Ëþáîâü" (L)

It's good subject and we will pass through it too soon, but I have one question. My last vaccinations were made since my birth till 1995. I didn't make any vaccinations since 1995. I called to our clinic in Kiev and I was said that these vaccinations are invalid. And what to do then? I am going to translate this list of my vaccinations and show them. And also bring this list to the USA.

Thank you for any advice and answer :)

Nadya.

Vaccinations are not necessarily invalid... Some vaccinations are just given once... and they are good for a lifetime... others are good for a period of years and then require a booster.... Do exactly as you are thinking... bring your record to the clinic... they will tranfer to the DS-3025... Bring all your records to the USA
