Validity of NA02

Hi All,

I have my interview scheduled but unfortunately due to unforseen circumstances I am now unable to make that date and so need to re-schedule. The four month validity of my NA02 runs out before the date I would like to change my interview date to so does this automatically mean I would need to start the process again? Or is there instances where the validity period can be extended for say an additional month?

I believe the embassy will automatically extend the expiry date if the visa is still being processed. You could raise this issue when you e-mail to ask for the interview to be rescheduled.

i believe that you can request to have your NOA2 validity extended. like talyss said, maybe asking both for the extension and the new interview date in the same email will save you some work.

I emailed the embassy as my interview was after the expiry date of the NOA2 (I delayed it for personal reasons) and they said no problem, just bring a notorised letter from your fiancee stating you will still be getting married within 90 days of arrival. Although they didn't ask for it at the interview (maybe because my fiancee was with me).

You should be fine - but I'd probably email them too to be on the safe side.

I had to change my interview date. It landed on the same day as my Mum's wedding! I wrote them a letter, got a reply back within a few days with a new date. No problem.

Like Paul, I had my interview after the NOA2 expiry date. They asked me for a notarized letter of intent from my fiancee. I did not have this. Wasn't a big deal, I was able to send it in. But yeah take a notarized letter of intent from your fiancee with you, if your interview is after the NOA2 expiry date.
