so i have a question and i have writen to the embassy and everywhere else that i could to try to get information. i'm living in russia with my wife now and we are pregnant. we want to move to the USA soon but we don't know if we need to wait for the baby to be born before we can file a I-130 or if we can place the case now. everyone keeps telling me about stepchildren and all that but no one seems to know the answer. so the question is if the child is mine and my wife is pregnant can we file the case before the childs birth?

YES

Is there anything special that I need to write when filing the case? Or do I not even need to mention it? Case as I understand he will be a US citizen at birth. I just need to take the birth certificate to the embassy.

no need to write anything. how long u been living in russia? If over 6 months, u could file through DCF at the EMBassy.

When the baby is born u could report to the Embassy with the marriage n birth certificate of the baby.

He 'll get the Citizen certificate and u could apply passport and Social security also for the Baby.
