My fiance had his interview on Monday at U.S. Consulate in Casablanca, Morocco- she asked many difficult questions like where I went to school in 1980. She even told him to come and get me from across the street and then asked me questions and told me that theere is a lot of marriage fraud in Morocco. She told him that he can leave his passport or take it and that she would call him after some administrative review. He did not get a 221(g) and she did not tell us when she will call or anything. Please tell me what we can do - she did not even want to see any of our many photo albums and proof that we brought.

well, I cant say for sure. 5 years ago when my husband went through Casa there wasnt an official 221g issued with AP, they just told him they would call when it was time to bring his passport in - however it seems over the years they usually issue the actual paper. In your case, though, it SOUNDS like they are going to do the usual AP and then call him. are you there in morocco? maybe you can call or email the consulate and ask for clarification.

Yeah Sara is right! With my husband they did issue the paper they go back and forth in what they do over there. The best thing to do is to call DOS and if you are their why not go during the times they have set aside for US citizens and go in and talk to someone. Hope this helps and remember some AP is just a few days and others can be months, either way the end results is both of your happiness :D

On a side note, wow! Sara I can not believe how much she has grown and already over a year old, I remember when she was born I have been away from the board far to long :innocent:

The pineapple princess is gorgeous, that's for sure.

I'd call DOS. The fact that she called you in (odd in my experience) and mentioned marriage fraud, you want to make sure that you were approved (unless she specifically told you that you were ) and that he is in AP, which would show at DOS. But like Sarah said, they change their procedure with the wind, and keep people guessing.
