I wouldn't spend too much more time worrying. Sounds like you were scammed.

My suggestion to anyone going to Philippines to "Wife Shop" is don't get one over 25 years old.

If you do start over, maybe you should find a girl a little younger, Make sure she has some type of degree so she can come to USA and make you lot's of money, and I like girls from the provinces.

Stay out of the big cities like Manila and Cebu.

Lots of pretty girls in Mindanao Region

Dude, that is so wrong on so many levels. Luz is my age, from a big city and has no degree. You couldn't ask for a more loving, loyal and mature woman anywhere.

yes but don't you know that TCO's recipe for success is the best, cuz it was the recipe of his daddy and it worked ....get them as young as you can, preferably from a less-developed country/area of the world...so they can be properly thankful you've 'saved' them.

Hey Everyone,

So this doesn't turn into another Ken thread (not dissing you Ken), but if this is as serious as the OP has conveyed, can we hold off on replying to this thread except as it relates to the current crisis?

He and I have exchanged PM's and if he doesn't come on to update as he finds information, I promise, I'll keep you all updated. I think the biggest concern here is if she is ok and then if he can make contact with her in hopes to get an explanation and find closure. Respect.

why on earth would u be worried about if u can apply for a k1 visa again in the future? i still fail to understand why people would go look for a foreign spouse on purpose. i would never do that. it's extremely difficult to engage in a relationship with someone from another country, it happened to me, i don't regret a second, but i'd never on purpose do that.

go to a bar, start dating, forget about her, move on.

This is EXACTLY how I feel... not just about this OP, but whenever I read stories here on VJ about people who are going right back to the same country that they had a horrible experience with to look for a new partner.

I was not specifically looking for someone in the U.S. when I met my husband online... it just happened. I would NEVER marry anyone from outside of Canada ever again, and I don't regret marrying my husband, but if I were ever to be single again, I would definitely not look outside Canada.

Why do people want to marry someone from a specific country outside their own? I don't get it.

That's the million dollar question, right there. Nothing wrong with casting a wide net, but why a specific country?

older or younger girl, it depends on the persons up bringing and values. not all younger girls are honest either. so, to all guys going to the philippines looking for a wife be sure that you know very well the background of the girl that you want to marry. Don't look much on the outside appearance, the more pretty outside, more ugly inside. I am a filipina and pretty inside out.

My issues with gerneralizations and stereotypes is that they don't appear out of thin air. Is it wrong to judge someone based on a stereotype, absolutely, however those stereotypes are more than likely true in a great many instances.

Of all the stereotypes I have heard about british people, both positive and negative, I have yet to hear one that I find absolutely ridiculous. I know and see many people that fit the stereotype. Do I, in some yes and others no. The point is I see where each and everyone of them comes from and have no problem with it. I am proud of my country and the people in it but it does not mean I live with rose tinted spectacles.

That is an awful thing to say.... sounds like something an ugly would say for she is jealous of the pretties.
