Hey, fellow Canucks. I recently got a request for an AOS interview and am going through the checklist. One of the items is:

"a completed medical examination (Form I-693) and vaccination supplement in a sealed envelope (unless already submitted.)

I saw on the guides that for K1's who've medical examination within the past year as required for the nonimmigrant fiancé(e) visa, you only need to submit a vaccination supplement (I-693A), not the entire medical report. But It's officially now over one year since I've had the medical report (March 17th, 2009). Do I have to go through another examination, or does whatever I've submitted count? Has anyone had this particular situation?

Thanks in advance.

Jun 25/08: POE! Arrived home, finally!

AOS process:

Oct 25/08: Biometrics

Dec 22/08: Receieved EAD

Dec 24/08: Applied for SSN.

If you sent in your "medical" within one year of getting it done, no matter when your interview is, it should still be good. For many people, that handed over thier medical at the POE, they still got that supplemental vaccination supplement. Others didn't bother, as it was sent in with the medical. You shouldn't have to have your whole medical again. You CAN get your vaccination supplemental done via fax and/or mail by a Dr. Arnold in TX for around $20.00 I think, which is the absolute cheapest. Many people have gotten it done by him/her. It's a pinned thread in the AOS forum I believe. It's your call at this stage whether you should bring a supplemental. Actually if they didn't give you an RFE at this point, then I don't know that I'd bother.

But again, you sent in your medical before the 1 year was up so you should be okay.
