Man wearing an "I Heart My Marriage" t-shirt arrested for choking wife

Tampa, Florida - An Apollo Beach man wearing an "I ♥ My Marriage" t-shirt was arrested Monday night, charged with choking his wife during an argument.

Hillsborough deputies booked 32-year-old Bradley Gellert into jail on charges of a felony domestic battery by strangulation. According to the arrest report, Gellert works for Ameriprise, a financial consulting company.

The arrest report says that the couple were arguing over drugs, and during the fight at their home, Gellert screamed in his wife's face, threw things, grabbed her neck and strangled her, and knocked her to the ground.

Gellert followed the victim as fled the home and reported the incident in person at the closest sheriff's office.

Drugs... an otherwise nice guy becomes psycho on amphetimines. What's really scary is when he ISN'T on drugs, and then doesn't remember choking you.

That's nothing. I'm sure many of you have seen this xray. It's part of Ripley's Believe it or Not now. Although it has been shown in news stories they neglect to tell the story behind it. I watched the case on a hospital show on cable. This man managed to walk into the emergency room very alert and able to chat it up with Doctors and nurses. When asked what happened he said his girlfriend stabbed him in the head.

It was on Valentine's Day.

The Doctors warn the man that he may die instantly when the knife is removed and asked if there was anyone he wanted to contact. He had no one. Unsure how to approach the removal of the knife, the all the Doctors could do is yank it out if his head. After the knife was removed, Mr. Hill was soon there after very alert and able to talk to people as if nothing ever happened and was released from the hospital in a few days.

When asked where he will go after leaving the hospital, he said he was going home. He went right back to the girlfriend.
