The reason why is because people who don't always play all decide they HAVE to log in for the 1st day of patch so they can be like OMG I DID IT FIRST!!!

Got to do the 25 man ICC last night. We got the first boss down, but wiped numerous times on the second one. To be perfectly honest, less than half the guild actually read up on the strats for the fight. The instance server for the new 5 mans kept going up and down. I never got to do any of the 5 mans though. The thing that was irritating was that all these people in my guild who haven't logged on in 5-6 months log in last night to see the new content and expect to get put into the main raid group. We didn't have enough people on for 2 raid groups, so about 15 people had to sit. Our guild is one of the oldest on the realm and the realm is one of the oldest in the game, so we've got people crawling out of the woodwork to come raid now. They don't get why people who have been in the guild for less than a year get to raid over someone who has been in the guild since wow was in beta. Oh well.

Last night was a complete fail. Suprisingly only one mod won't work, and it interferes with my Auctioneer mod. So found out my NotesUneed mod is no longer being updated and the developer mentioned that's it and it shouldn't be used anymore. So all my macros I saved in the notes to make it easy to get macros in my boss fights is all gone and spent a long while finding a new mod (Macro Bank) after trying out other note mods.

Finally got the stupid quest on all my 80's just in case I forget to get them down the road. Got into a pug for the first FoS 5 man dungeon. No one had a clue about the place, but we one shotted the two bosses easily. At the last boss we were trying to turn in the quest and boom server crashes. We were still logged on, but anyone outside of the dungeons were DCing like crazy, we were lagged out with everyone else in all the dungeons. Then crash time. An hour later we got back on and amazingly found 4 of the 5 people in our raid. So we pulled in a new person, as we all found ourselves at the start of the instance with the mobs all back. So got the new guy in and got to where the 1st boss was, and he wasn't there. Fought through trash to the last boss and he was now back alive. So killed that again, 4 of us completed the quest and into the portal for the next dungeon The Pits. New guy needed to kill the first boss that wasn't there (we had killed him before the crash) and couldn't get into the next dungeon and was saved to ours. So he left all pissed off, and we were now stuck in the 2nd dungeon not being able to find anyone since everyone that was looking for groups needed the first dungeon because you can't get into the 2nd one without completing the quest in the first one.

What a way for that to screw up everything. Stupidest idea ever to have that set up...

So all I have done of the new stuff is the first dungeon and the naxx quest - oh and the daily pug thing, I got lucky with the pugs in that it was just a - get through this dungeon as fast as possible thing - works for me!

Last night I got my warlock to 80, i've been playing it for several months off and on, it's really just for fun, ie I don't need to get her a gazillion pieces of gear - in fact i'm not sure that I really like playing a warlock.

I have also been levelling a mage - now the mage I really like, she is level 55 or something now, I can see myself playing that character - however the shadow priest will always be the main!

I spent most of last night waiting outside of the instance :/ I'm not really good with just reading or watching a video for a boss strat, I need to do it a few times to get it. So I was doing horrible DPS the last two nights.

LoL, I don't trust toons that don't have mana. I found lvling a priest extremely easy and fast, after lvl 40 that is. I could solo almost all of those group quests where you are supposed to kill some elite. I love that you can now mail bind on account items cross faction. I have just about all of the heirloom items on my alliance toons (I raid too much and had too many badges to waste ).

Are you levelling your priest as holy? In that case I can understand it taking some time. If it's shadow, I would think you would be whipping along!

I'm not crazy about melee either, I don't think I am a melee kind of person, whatever that means lol

I am leveling my priest as Shadow/Discipline & my main issue is constantly running out of mana (never an issue with my lock, due to their ability to life tap & drain mana). Am I missing something with my priest concerning keeping my mana pool up? I am in greens (frostweave stuff) so I'm not exactly geared (will run WG & BG's starting at 77 to get epic PvP gear). I don't have enough time in RL to raid (and I would get wife aggro if I did, ).

They nerfed priests about 6 months ago regarding MP regeneration. That is why I spent the badges to get the two bind on account trinkets. They add decent spellpower, but more importantly, they give you like 2% MP after each kill. I just used my dispersion and shadowfiend in alternating cooldowns. BTW, I LOVE the new changes to shadow priest. They got a huge buff in DPS, i'm not sure what they did regarding PVP though.
