Our intent was to quit playing once I moved over... But now my account has been banned, and it's going to be a huge pain to try to get it back... so we shall see if we even last that long.

And I, too, am marrying my first guild master. Though he doesn't play that character anymore, that's how we initially began playing together.

I was feeling good about my guild..... until last night. We had several players leave, and our GM and his gf who were our MT and OT taking an extended break. So a bunch of us decided that we would start at the ground and build up. We would run heroics to gear up some new 80's to start doing 10 man naxx and build up enough to get a nice 25 man group going. Well I was so frustrated last night with our first heroic runs. I got the group with a brand new tank, and a healer who is quite clueless. To be fair, she's very well geared, and one of the nicest people I've ever met. She's just quite clueless about fights that aren't straight forward. We wiped like 10 times on the last boss in AN. COme on ####### is that. Our healer could barely keep herself alive. She kept getting pitched up in the air and getting 8 stacks of poison on herself. I was trying to be nice and find out if she's even using any heal add ons. Indeed she was. I donno. I just feel so embarassed to have wiped on a 5 man. On the plus side, I did 3.2k DPS in a 5 man

Was your healer a paladin? We aren't the most mobile of healers. I know I had a hard time with that fight at first. I wanted to kill anyone that got tossed for making things even worse.

its the time of year. my gm just left..our tops dps just left. others quit for the summer, and now we went form having 30 ppl or more online to just 3..blargh.

so david quit the guidl and joined a hardcore one that is the oldest horde guild..so he's been doing ulduar each night..and now i can't stand logging on cuz i'm tired of all the whining and crying.

oh oh oh..did you hear?..you will be able to switch faction horde to alliance and vice versa...might fix recruting issues and imbalance on some servers. we'll have to see.

I did hear about the faction transfers. I don't know how long that will be, but i'm already seriously considering it, I just can't decide which toon I will transfer. Probably turn my nElf rogue into an undead one. I can't stand nElfs

Banned? What on earth for?

When I came to visit my fiance here in Florida, I promised his brother (who also plays with us) that I would have a looksie at his computer when I came. He's been having problems with being unable to connect on WoW when in Dalaran, etc.

He failed to mention that he recently downloaded some iffy addons that didn't exactly cling to the ToS, and weren't exactly from curse.com either.

Two days after logging into my account on his computer (which, honestly, I should've been smarter about, but that hindsight, you know...) I get an email from Blizzard saying that my account has been banned due to advertising and spamming, and after a long investigation, it's been deemed appropriate to close the account.

The character/realm in question were quite clearly something just created for that purpose, as it was some random realm I've never used and a character like all of the usual Trade spam folks (random letters).

Unfortunately, though I've been playing the account since day one, it isn't in my name, and I'm going to have a heck of a time trying to get it back.

And Missa, we're just like you. We've enjoyed playing for four years, but now it's something we simply do (did) to spend time together online. Once that necessity goes away, we'll probably save the thirty a month and actually go out somewhere. ^^

So the good news from Antonidas is - the Frost Lotus is back! I went herbing last night as someone else in our guild had picked up a couple of FL in Sholazar - I went to Storm Peaks and actually picked up 3 in about an hour!!

I decided to make the big leap and quit FFXI Online and started playing WoW with the boyfriend. I am extremely impressed how flexible the game is - I am not used to being able to do anything on an online game without needed 3-6 people, and spending 2+ hours getting one thing accomplished.

I think that's what I like about WoW so much...sometimes I don't feel like questing or leveling so I can spend some time on my professions and make gold or just goof about about helping lower level guildies, there are many aspects to the game that have kept me interested for 3 years now.

I have just picked up my 74 Alliance priest again after playing Horde for that past 6 months, I transferred to Argent Dawn yesterday so I could play along side my 13 yr old...methinks he wants me around for my gold making skills more than anything else but I shall teach him my ways

What's the best way to recruit good guild members? We're on Feathermoon, which I'm told is an older realm, therefore all the big guilds have been around for years and it's hard for newer guilds to build up. All we ever get is people's alts and they end up leaving eventaully. We're very small (50 some members i think and only about 6 or 7 regulars). Should I advertise in trade chat, on the WoW site forums, or what? Our other problem is the guild leader hasn't been on for over a month. It's lame to be in a guild with no leader. We really like the guy though. We think he may have had to move as he was talking about selling his house recently. I'd like to stay if he's gonna be back (the leader & his buddies are Canadian and that was kinda cool for my hubby But I'd kinda like to try joining one of the big guilds and see what it's like. Then decide about making our own guild possibly. gaaahhhhh idk what to do!

Nope, it was a druid healer, which I fully understand the mobility issues. She asked "How do I know when the spikes are coming up" after the first 3 wipes. To make things worse, when people got thrown up, or she was thrown up, she wouldn't even use her HoTs. Oh well.
