Our guild leader hasn't been on for over 2 weeks. We only have about 6 or 7 members that play daily. It really sucks. I'm so discouraged with pugs, I haven't been doing anything with my 80 besides a couple dailies for a few weeks now. That's why I was working on the mage & warlock & priest recently.

Yes, the minion I was thinking of is the felguard. I spec'd affliction so far (we're at lvl 61 now). Hubby's dps is consistently higher than mine. He has points in affliction and demonology. I do use the same dot rotation one of you mentioned, and that is easy, but even though we use the same dots, he's always higher than me. He has a couple items (gear) that are better than mine, so that's probably got something to do with it. Plus he has faster reflexes than me so that's another thing. I think that's why I find them more difficult (all the differeing dot rotation opinions, spec'ing opinions etc...), plus it's my character with the most clogged up action buttons on the screen (almost all possible slots are full).

As for the hacks, hubby thinks my addons are putting me at risk. He was actually pretty upset about it last night. I LOVE questhelper and don't really want to play without it. I was so sick of flipping over to thottbot or wowhead to get help, when I tried questhelper and it points you in teh right direction, it was a godsend. I love auctioneer cuz it helps me choose which quest rewards to pick based on worth, when I don't need/want any of them. Haven't tried out deadly boss mods yet, but I might today. I'm sure I'll love it too.

So last night I had nothing to do, someone advertised for reg VH - so I say I will do it. Then they need a healer, so I offered to switch to heals. Then I find a healer in trade chat. All good.

Add-ons are fine if you get them from reputable sites like Wowinterface, Curse or Ace etc. Auctioneer and Deadly Boss Mods for example are also good from the developers site. Just stick to those and don't use the automatic updater and you'll be fine. Just mark the pages for your add-ons and then every few days check to see if there is any updates. On these sites the mods are checked before they are allowed to be posted to avoid any hacks etc. The automatic updater has had issues in the past, so people advise not to use it and to just manually do it. Then if you want just scan the zip files when you get them.

I have over 20 add-ons I use, and never had an issue from these sites...

All I need to complete the [For The Alliance] achievement is to get Cairne Bloodhoof. I've been trying since saturday to get it. I've downed the other 3 boss which were no problem, but for some reason, the groups i've been in have been half retarded. The group I was in on saturday started out really good. We had a full 40 man raid with less than 5 people under lvl 80. We downed Thrall in like 90 seconds and ported out. Lady Sylvanas and Lor'themar Theron went down even faster. Then, I find out that half the people already had Cairne Bloodhoof, and they took off. So we had about 20 lvl 80's and started pugging people in. They started adding people under lvl 70 and tried it with 28 people. Epic fail, and the horde all knew it. Tried again on sunday. I only needed Thunder Bluff, but I went for all four cities as they were doing the one I needed last. Fail again. This time, people got lost in the stairs up to the second level up to Cairne. Last night, tried it again. I only joined because they said they were doing Thunder Bluff 2nd. Well, we annhialated Thrall pretty quickly. There were a bunch of lvl 80's in the throne room to defend them, but we had a ton of AoE DPS and took care of it. But we had fuqtard mages who couldn't get out of combat to port us out. So half the people died running out and half just stood there and died. Since we didn't port to hide our tracks, they knew we were going to TB next. We get to Thunder Bluff and are buffing up in the town just south of it in the lake and get spotted. So, this time, after explaining to them to stay to the right and go along the outer path, don't go through the middle, you'll attract fewer guards and NPC's, our MT falls off the lift up. Really? God I hate the alliance so much sometimes. But we did manage to defend all 4 cities last night.

CBR, affliction lock takes a lot of skill and practice. The DPS is based around your timing of your DoTs. Even if you're going to go 0/41/30, you still need a couple of add ons, especially when raiding. First and foremost, you need DoTimer.

Even addons from Curse have had issues with keyloggers unfortunately. If any of you guys can, I recommend getting an authenticator. Its a bit of a pain to have to have it every time you want to play but no one will be able to get into your account even if they know your password, unless they have your authenticator. They even have an addon for the iPhone that does it.

If you have Kaspersky AV, they have a "Virtual Keyboard", which allows you to enter passwords without generating a keystroke.

6 months of raiding naxx 25 and i finally got my gun off of KT ..my beautiful Envoy..woot after that we did ulduar and got the furthest in content we've ever been did the entire siege part.. one shot on each boss except ignis..he kept potting the damn healers lol. ####### ton of achievements last night too.. we were on fire woot.

did kologarn too.. course as a hunter my pet was 100% useless as he could not target anything. That was where we finished last night. Was sooo nice to see new stuff woot more pew pew tonight!

Hello Fellow Wow-ers! I just found this thread!!!

I don't play as much as I use to, but I still like to hang out in game now and run stuff.

Pre-WOTLK I use to raid 7 days a week. It was insane. I really enjoy not raiding now!

I met my husband in wow about 4 years ago. We met a bunch of times and then I came down here for the summer

and we got engaged on my birthday! It was a surprise!!! So we waited until we had the money, got married

and now we are working on our AOS

Oh and my character's name is Levenah on Mal'Ganis (80 Priest) She is my first and only high level character.

I can't believe I've been playing since the game started and I never leveled anything else that reached max level.

Its a bit of a pain to have to have it every time you want to play but no one will be able to get into your account even if they know your password, unless they have your authenticator. I have always been paranoid about addons so never used them, but I did manage to finally get an authenticator last month so I downloaded Carbonite, and I must admit I do love it, I will probably get some kind of healing addon...undecided on which one yet though.
