CSC and VSC alike, some get an email update of NOA2 and some do not, only to be suprised when the snail mail comes! LOL.

Can anyone who's gotten their NOA2s in this last week possibly share where the USC is from?? I am still hoping for mine this week, since a few January approvals have happened, but I live in Indiana so I am trying to figure out if its still a possibility mine is coming....Thanks

Ignoring all of the buzz kill responses you've gotten, our hardcopy NOA2 took a full week from approval to my mailbox and I'm in the middle of nowhere Iowa.

And just a reminder (you've gotten plenty of them, I know), getting your hopes up leaves you open to great disappointment. Good luck!

Yep .. Our NOA2 took a week to arrive as well. My fiance is near Iowa City and oh my ... isn't the weather warming up there?? B)

What does "Touched" mean? Sorry I'm fairly new to this forum and this is my first post. Also, my NOA1 is November 19th and I haven't received any updates on a NOA2. I'm checking the www.uscis.gov website daily.

Not everyone before January has received an NOA2. I filed in mid-November and am still waiting. When I check the Immigration Timelines and filings similar to mine it shows 9 of 11 have received their NOA2. Upon closer examination of the 'similar' list it shows some with NOA1 back in September and October.

I reconciled myself long ago to just be patient. Who knows why some receive a NOA2 quickly and others don't. I am as anxious as the next person to receive my NOA2. But, I have no control over when it will occur and do not wish to become upset with anything I have no control over. Patience is a very important quality to have in this endeavor. I probably could be expected to be more impatient than others as I am 60 and my fiance is 57. We won't have nearly as many years together as many of you. But, I wager we will have many, many wonderful years together with far fewer problems than some will experience.

Just my two cents worth.

My status online has never changed, it still says 'last updated July 08' and still says case "received and pending". I never received an email but got the hard copy noa2 in the mail.

We got our NOA2 in the mail yesterday (03/16/09), and it said it was approved on 03/11/09. I guess that it was mailed on the 12th, and took 4 days to get to Seattle. Hope that everyone else gets theirs soon too.

if you registered your NOA1 at USCIS.org there will be a box there that says, " Last Updated" when that date change that means someone has "touched" your file...

Our NA02 took a week & my fiance is in Michigan so quite near to you.

Don't get upset with the replies you get on here... It's just advice & I'm sure Rocks was just trying to advise you with the best of intentions as it really can be a frustrating process at times.

I got my approved NOA 2, 3 days ago dated March 10, 2009 and the status has not yet changed on the website nor did I get any email notification... So I guess we can't trust the Goverment to stay on top of the details... But we sure had better...

Our NOA2 came from California to Wisconsin and it took a little over a week after the approval was online.

i don't think where either of you live bares any relevance on the approval? have you tried looking at your case status online?

CSC hasnt been updating the case status, and many people have gotten hard copy NOA2s without touches or anything like that online. And no, where we live doesnt have an effect on if we are approved or not, but it DOES affect how fast the mail will get here from California. For example, if everyone who recieved the hard copy NOA2 is from the west coast, then those of us who are in the midwest would still be waiting.

We got an email notification the evening of our approval date. There were two NOA2's in my mail box 3 days later. For what it's worth I live in the Chicago area.
