Can anyone who's gotten their NOA2s in this last week possibly share where the USC is from?? I am still hoping for mine this week, since a few January approvals have happened, but I live in Indiana so I am trying to figure out if its still a possibility mine is coming....Thanks :)

i don't think where either of you live bares any relevance on the approval? have you tried looking at your case status online?

CSC hasnt been updating the case status, and many people have gotten hard copy NOA2s without touches or anything like that online. And no, where we live doesnt have an effect on if we are approved or not, but it DOES affect how fast the mail will get here from California. For example, if everyone who recieved the hard copy NOA2 is from the west coast, then those of us who are in the midwest would still be waiting.

yeah i understand that. they didn't update our case online or send us an email, i know how frustrating all the waiting and not knowing can be! it would be unusual for approvals to happen in two months but they do happen sometimes. i don't want to put a downer on things but the normal time frame is 4-6 months so try not to get too hopeful that you will get yours this quickly. try and keep yourself busy planning for your future together. good luck. :)

i don't see how where you live can affect the speed of approvals, im pretty sure when they get petitions they just put it in one box..

Again, I realize that "normally" approvals are in 4-6 months....for VSC. if you look at Igor's for California, the normal right now is 70-80 days, with a FEW around 100 and then the token 6+ month person, due to the clearing of backlogs. AND like I said, there have been more than a few January approvals. Some of which have NOA1 after mine. So I really appreciate your advice, but its not really relevant for this case. CSC is to the end of December/beginning of January. I know what they tell you is 6 months, but as we ALL know, thats not generally true. I wouldn't be hopeful for nothing. I'm smarter than that.

it doesnt affect speed of approvals. my question was actually about the actual delivery of the paper noa2. if someone lives in california, obviously their noa2 is going to get delivered faster than mine, when im about as far from CSC as you can get while still being part of CSC territory.

oh geez, I hope not :( I think if it doesn't come by the end of this week, or beginning of next, and there's no new January approvals, I will probably chalk it up to that the ones already approved have just been lucky. The only reason I asked this question at all is that EVERY single January approval that has gotten the paper NOA2, the USC has been from California, with one exception, and that USC was from Washington. So I highly doubt that those are really the only ones that have gotten approval, because like you said, they just all go in a box, so its unlikely that all the ones close to eachother were all from Cali. My package got to CSC in less than 24 hours, but I sent it overnight express, and I doubt CSC cares enough about any of us to do that haha. My NOA1 arrived over a week after it was issued, so I'm hoping that my NOA2 is still on the way.

Haha yeah we will be waiting at least a week too for the NOA2 if we don't receive notification by email, which alot of people are unfortunately having problems with. Not everyone is lucky enough to live in California or the west coast and get the mail 2 days later! LOL.

you havn't been approved yet, so there is no point in checking your mailbox, according to your timeline:

Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between May 23, 2009 and June 28, 2009*.

My NOA1 is Jan 20. I have been checking my mailbox everyday this week. Hoping for NOA2.

same for you:

Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between May 28, 2009 and July 3, 2009*.

also if you sign up for email notification, you don't have to check your mailbox everyday...

i don't think where either of you live bares any relevance on the approval? have you tried looking at your case status online?

CSC hasnt been updating the case status, and many people have gotten hard copy NOA2s without touches or anything like that online. And no, where we live doesnt have an effect on if we are approved or not, but it DOES affect how fast the mail will get here from California. For example, if everyone who recieved the hard copy NOA2 is from the west coast, then those of us who are in the midwest would still be waiting.

yeah i understand that. they didn't update our case online or send us an email, i know how frustrating all the waiting and not knowing can be! it would be unusual for approvals to happen in two months but they do happen sometimes. i don't want to put a downer on things but the normal time frame is 4-6 months so try not to get too hopeful that you will get yours this quickly. try and keep yourself busy planning for your future together. good luck. :)

if you're so smart what makes you think you won't be one of the six month people? think before speaking.

I'm not sure if this was directed at me, or the person who posted above you, but the reason we are all anxious is because multiple people from January have gotten approved without any touches or online case updates, and then their NOA2 showed up in the mail. If we already knew we were approved via the online case status, I doubt most of us would be this anxious for it to come in the mail.

i don't think where either of you live bares any relevance on the approval? have you tried looking at your case status online?

How has anything I said made it look like i don't know that's a possibility? I know very well it could be. But I like to be optimistic.
