I got the email from NVC on 3/09 telling us that my wife's Embassy Interview is scheduled for April 15th.

My wife wants to go to Manila to do the Medical Exam on 3/23.

She has not received the Appointment Letter in the mail yet.

So, can she show up at the SLEC Medical Exam with a printed copy of the NVC email Appointment letter.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Kind regards,

Kalbo

Thank you two for your quick replies. But I see that you both are K3 applicants. I believe your processing is slightly different from the CR1 applicants. You are married like me, but going through the immigration process like a Fiance Visa, diba?

Anyways, I just got off the phone from with the NVC. They told me that the Appointment letter is no longer being mailed to the beneficiary. That the beneficiary(my wife) can just print the email Appointment Letter that I received from the NVC.

I would like to hear from the other CR1 applicants with close to the same time line as mine.

Thanks,

Kalbo

I know that K3 and CR1 has different immigration processing but what you are asking is about medical in SLEC and I believe that no matter what, SLEC has the same procedure in accepting applicants whether he/she is on K3, CR1 or whatever visa they are applying for.

But anyways, i hope you hear answers from CR1 applicants caz that is what you want :) Good Luck!

Hi! Me and my husband also received the appointment letter through our emails and we are going to print it out so he could bring that on his medical at SLEC.

Possibly it is the same procedure between k1/k3 and CR1/IR1 applicants, but I do want to be very very sure. I don't want a phone call from a mad little filipina if I tell her the wrong directions. :ranting:

SLEC Medical Exams are on a first come first server basis. My wife is figuring a Monday won't be as busy as the other days.

The Medical Examination

All visa applicants, regardless of age, need to complete a medical examination at the St. Luke’s Medical Center Extension Clinic (SLMCEC) before the visa interview. Applicants are advised to have their medical examinations done at least one week before their interview appointment at the U.S. Embassy in Manila.

SLMCEC is located at 1177 J. Bocobo Street, Ermita, Manila. They can be reached by telephone at 521-0020 and 521-8647. SLMCEC is open from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. It is best to arrive for your medical examination between 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. Applicants are served on a first come first served basis, but the order of release of the medical reports will depend on the complexity of the results of the medical examination.

So after you or your asawa gets the NVC Appointment email you can print it off and take it to the SLEC for the Medical Exam.

If I didn't have bad luck, I would have no luck at all!
