get your husband to fix it. he's german. they're supposed to be able to fix anything.

My husband can fix anything electronic. Cameras, computers, amps, TVs, speakers, cell phones. It is like magic.

As for cars, once upon a time, he was using throttle body cleaner on something or other and shot the red spray attachment into the engine's air intake. It was fun at work with my husband was writing frantic IMs, freaking out like "####### DO I DO??!!". He eventually enlisted a neighbor to help and got it out. But being in the US has been quite the automotive education for him. He's learned how to do brake jobs, change struts, tie rods, alternators, and cv joints with the help of my mechanic BIL.

If he thinks its just a bad battery, I'd test that theory. Hook it up to his nuts, and see if he still thinks its a dead battery. He'll hand over the car keys.

Wiggle the wire down there.

If someone didn't know what the topic was and they just saw this line someone might take this one the wrong way....lol

Right before he explodes, take the keys!

If not, then at least you can pee in the hole when they finish.

:hehe: Our office manager was heading out for another Hardees trip so we were wondering if they left room for us to leave the parking lot. I told her if they didn't she could just squat over the hole and pee on them.

He paid for the car at the county auto auction.

Right, even - a married couple is a team and he's not being a team player here.

My husband did something of that sort a while back when he washed HIS laundry and left mine aside - he didn't "feel" like washing mine...

When i cleaned the dishes a couple days later, I cleaned up mine then took his dirty ones, piled them up in a bucket and put that bucket on top

of his laptop, wrote a little note stating: "I didnt feel like washing yours either".

He got the idea...

My husband did this to me.

OMG I read the last three posts all rather quickly...so at first I thought you said your husband peed on you. Which is...a subject for a whole different thread.

LOL x lots.

He hasn't even started putting his resume into English. Claims he wants to be self employed. I told him he needs to work for someone else in the beginning to be able to see what he can do here.

I just read this. Er, so, what is his plan for self-employment, besides making a full-time job out of annoying you?

This is not the site to come for, for automotive problems, but can't answer any questions unless you specify the make, model, year, engine size, mileage, and key accessories. All this stuff can be learned instantly by seeing the vehicle, on a board, only what you say about your vehicle is known. Just saying a vehicle won't start is confusing, because it doesn't indicate whether you can crank and it won't fire, or if it can't even crank.

With the latter, depending on the make, etc., not exactly like a 30's vehicle where a foot pedal jams two contacts together on the other side of the floorboard making direct contact between the battery and the starter motor. Very simple. Today, have the ignition switch in start position, goes through an anti-thief circuit to check of your key is correct is correct, then through the neutral safety switch to make sure you are in park or neutral, then through a brake switch to make sure your foot is on the brake pedal before cranking, even though you should be in park or neutral, manual transmissions have switch to make sure you are in neutral, plus also check to see if you are stepping on the clutch and brake pedal as well. Any of these can be a problem and the reason for this extra stuff is that people blame the automotive industry because they don't know how to drive and run over their own kids in the driveway resulting in multi-million dollar lawsuits. Steering and gear shift locks are yet another problem with cranking.

Doesn't NYC have a health department? And if they do, is it corrupt?

How would I know; I've never been there.

My husband still refuses to let me drive his car!!! He actually said I can't drive it because he needs it!!!!

I now have no other choice but to revoke his driving privileges.

Part of the health departments job besides assuring that Macs isn't selling you rat meat is that you have suitable clean water to drink, and proper sewage disposal. Regarding your spouse and vehicle problems, can only suggest you trade up.

If he doesn't need it to go to a job interview, he doesn't need it. I'd rip his balls off at that point. Besides, it's not his car. If he wants his own, he can work for it.
