Hello All,

My wife just went to the New Delhi Embassy for her visa interview on March 16th. The consular asked her numerous questions about When we got married, how we met, who introduced us, what do I do for a living, what company do I work for, where I went to college, what type of degree did I obtain. After asking all those questions he looked at the wedding album. Then he said the interview is complete and handed my wife a white 221g form that just states please bear with us while we submit your application for additional administrative processing. We will contact you as soon as possible. It is not asking for any documents or anything. What is this for, and how long are we expected to wait.

She will be okay. They are just checking your papers of its authenticity. AP is CO's favorite in India. Give it 2 weeks then call your embassy.

Yes, this is common practice with your country, but do not get excited after two weeks. More like anywhere from 4-8 months. Sounds like your interview was a success. I know it is dissapointing, but just accept this as part of the process. AP Tracker Forum

Call the DOS for updates. I called about once every two weeks to see if anything has changed. You could get helpful people or people who say nothing. I just asked if there were any updates to my case. They can see what the last entry was. The embassy responded to my email the DOS could see on their screen that that was the last update to my case. Its not much information, but helps you get through this rough stage.

Be patient.
