Worried a little :(

Hi VJ members,

I was told to go back this coming 25,26 and 27 because they want to take some sputum on three consecutive days,, I now understand the feelings of those who have been to that process..

I am worried a little because I am afraid that it will turn out positive (hopefully not ) .. Although I never have vices after my medication last 2003, and took good care of my health after that history,, I am still worried..

Guys, hope you will still answer me,, who among you have the history of tuberculosis that already have their medications but still undergo sputum test and after two months pass?

I would really appreciate your response VJ members.. I am very worried now,,before not really but now,,very..

Sorry you're so worried. I can imagine it would be very concerning. I don't know how many people from the Philippines will be answering this when it's in this area of VJ. You'd probably get a better response if you posted this in the Philippines regional forum.

if you already had medications before then most likely you wont come out positive. your previous infection must have caused a scar in the lung thats why they want to do the sputum tests. you need to wait 2 months for the culture results but dont worry, youll be ok.

Hi.. I've gone through the same thing.. Am waiting now til Wednesday next week for the results of my sputum test. It is true that if you have had history of tb, even if treated, will leave scars on ur lungs which will automatically require sputum test. TB has high occurrence rate in our country thats why they're strict on the procedures.. I do hope you do well.. and do make use of the 2 month waiting time well.. God bless..

How many years are you now since you are cleared to your case? Me I am already almost 6 yrs since I am done with my medication, that's why I am a little worried..

Anyways, good luck for you result joy wish you and pray for your negative results
