Anyone watching this on CNBC?

I cannot believe how much information is stored, sold and traded by companies in the US. Something totally illegal down under thanks to privacy laws. Without my explicit permission, or a current business relationship, no entity is permitted to store or sell my personal information.

And to think there are so many people here who are paranoid about the government out of all people knowing about you.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

What people don't realize is that the government is the least of their problems. Ironically the government uses the same legal avenues in the private sector themselves to acquire data. Being that, moronically, it is illegal for them to acquire the data themselves without a warrant or some other court order.

What do you expect from clowns who bark up the wrong tree 24/7 yet fail to see the real problem. No one has an issue with the government storing data in Aus, almost expected, but has a huge problem with companies and/or individuals storing data on them. Hence why it is illegal there without your explicit permission.
