She said it's not gonna be possible to get her 2008 tax before April 14th...I am desperate! She owns a 200 thousand dollars house, though. What can i bring to the interview besides theirs 134 filled and my husband's 2008 tax papers?? please, help me!

Do you have her past 3 years of returns? Technically, you do not have to provide the 08 returns since you are a day before the deadline. BUT the consulate has the perogitive to request them.

there have been instances where the applicant is approved but the visa not issued until the 2008 tax's are filed and sent to them.

Ask her for copies of her w-2's for 2008 and take those to the interview with the i-134. This will at least show that she has the income to sponsor you. Does she work? can you get an employment letter for her as well? Just gather all evidence that you can of her income and pray that they dont hold your visa up for not having a 1040 to present for '08

good luck

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!
