It's easy to consider oneself as christian but many find it difficult to live what is ought to be a christian....that is to live with the teachings of Christianity.

Yes, I agree and that's what I mean. A lot of people say "I'm a Christian" but the question is that how deep is your faith and love for Jesus?

That may be true, but IMO, you are looking for the wrong signs of a Christian led life. Where do you find Jesus? In the face of a homeless person, or a lonely prisoner in jail.

Good job.. I'm glad to see others able to defend thier belief in Christ. My personal opinion, weak Christians make us look dumb. So, if anyone is reading this and is a new Christian: 2 Timothy 2:15 (King James Version)

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth...

I also am a christian, but i dont practice religion as i believe religion cant save me...

"Our Wedding Prayer"

Lord, help us to remember when we first met,and the strong love that grew between us.

To work the love into practical things so nothing can divide us

Grant us a Love that grows stronger with each passing year.

We ask for words both kind and loving

and for hearts always ready to ask forgiveness as well as to forgive.

Guide us to overcome every challenge

and keep our dreams pure to each other always.

Dear Lord,we put our marriage into Your hands.Amen

If your heart acquires strength, you will be able to remove blemishes from others without thinking evil of them.

Mary Jane, pardon me for being nosy and personal. Are you a Roman Catholic Christian or a Protestant Christian, such as Methodist, Seventh Day Adventist, Mormon, Baptist, Jehovah's Witness or the like?

Luke 9: 26

Oh I think Luke 9: 23-25 are much more relevant to today's Christian.

:pop: this should be good.

Some people make better Christians than those who call themselves Christian. To experience Christianity through others, IMO, has to do with their actions - a generous smile to a stranger passing by....the slightest expression of charity to the least of God's people - that's how Christ is felt among us. I think some Christians focus too much of their energy on knowing the historical Jesus without really understanding the message of the Gospel.

Matthew 25:35-40

For I was hungry and you gave me me something to eat. I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in. I needed clothes and you clothed me. I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. Then the righteous will answer him, "Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you. or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?

"The King will reply, I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for ME."

I'm not looking for the wrong signs of a Christian led life.

Jesus did not teach that good deeds form the basis of our salvation. The Bible shows clearly that eternal life results from what God does, not what we do. We are saved by God's grace, not by our works. Still, God intends that those who receive his grace will also do good works. True Faith is more than just claiming to have faith. Genuine love for God will be expressed through SERVICE TO OTHERS-- not to earn salvation, but because a heart that truly loves God will be filled with compassion for people. Jesus wanted his followers to set the pace by helping those who were hurting.

Thanks Charles :) I hope everybody knows HIM especially in a secular generation that we live in. When I got here in US, I was shocked when I knew people who doesn't believe in Jesus. They don't know where their lives came from and who made them? Instead they believe in Darwinian theory where all people came from apes or just say "people evolve just from nowhere" Why do they make things complicated? Why do they won't believe in Jesus? Isn't that frustrating guys?

People doesn't appreciate simple things from the moment we wake up, we should be thankful that we still breathe and we are healthy. People just take this for granted. I brought up this topic here just to know if there still people out here who believe in Jesus. Anyone?

jesus

I agree. It was such a culture shock for me when I asked my hubby to take me to a Catholic church.

Coz he had never been inside a church even the day he was born. He believes in God but not on Jesus nor Mother Mary.

It sad to know that not all of the folks here in the US believes in Him nor know that He exists.

I guess it's for the fact on how churches here were run by corrupt priests.
