I received a Biometrics Appointment Letter from CRIS and was scheduled for 03-13-2009. I appeared as per instructions and was done with the Biometrics in 20 minutes. On March 14th, I received another Biometrics Appointment scheduling my Biometrics for March 24th, 2009. What do I do now??? I know its a computer Hitch but Should I just appear at the ASC for the cancellation of the second letter or??????

You should read the letter - Biometrics is required for both EAD and AOS - usually you'll get both letters at/near the same time, but not always - the letter will say which (AOS or EAD) it is pertaining to.

I had Biometrics for Both I-485 and I-765 at the same time. The first letter that i received was for two applications being I-485/I765. Same was the case with the second appointment letter. So its a case of a computer glitch on part of CRIS.

I got 3 identical biometrics letters. One was sent by mistake (the offices were closed on December 26th). I went to my second one and brought all the letters. The officer was very surprised that I got so many. Quote " I don't know why they sent you 3 letters. Stamped one thru the others. But you should not ignore it, because the local office may not know about your second leter. and I would not trust calling and talking to the customer service.

I called CRIS and the Operator apologized for the computer glitch and told me to just take both the letters to the ASC any of these days and they'll take care of the duplicate. I guess they have to run the Barcode on the letter through their system and cancel the duplicate Biometrics. Thinking of dropping by today.

OK...Just got back from the ASC. They Uniformed guy at the office said they dont give anything in writing for the second Biometrics that I received which indeed is a computer error. He added, Unless i want to appear for the Biometrics for the second time for which i am scheduled, I shouldn't worry about it.

What do I do now?

I mean I do have prove for the first Biometrics, since i appeared on time and they stamped the letter which was returned to me. Should I pursue it?

I did not get anything for my other two biometrics letters. Got back just one stamped letter, and I was fine. But I don't know about you. Do what you think is right and safe for you.

Thinking about appearing on the 24th of March and will see, if I can get to speak to a supervisor or the center, since thats the only way I will have access to an officer beyond the reception desk.
