The ones in my neighborhood are welfare recipients who spend their money on amplifiers, etc...soup up their cars to blast the neighborhood. I like to make fun of them.

Move somewhere nicer. If you're half as successful as you say you are, you can afford it.

good point...we have considered that...however, the asian market is close by...my wife prefer asian cuisine...therefore, i can't really do anything but tolerate.

During the marriage ceremony, did you cut off your balls and hand them over to her?

what are you talking about...i marry her because of her personality...ridiculous comment

Ask her to give you your balls back.

It's not just the media. It's also stuff you hear from people you know. I've never been the victim of a violent crime (property crime, yes, but I don't know who did it) but people I know have. And they tell stories. And then you see certain things aligned just a certain way IRL and suddenly it almost matches up with what you've read and heard and ...

Have you ever been mistaken for a rapist? I have...

So someone actually told you they thought you were a rapist?

No - it was a few years ago in the UK. I was out late walking to a friends house and there was a girl a few hundred yards ahead of me on the same street. She kept looking behind her every so often (I walk fairly fast) - and eventually broke into a run.

It might not have been that, of course - but I can't imagine why else someone would behave that way.

I could be assuming too much from it - but it was strange. There was noone else out on the street - so the only thing she could have been looking at over her shoulder was me.

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

To the poster that asked if they are racist because they are scared of black teenages more than white teenages.....who can say? I don't think I'd call you racist really...but maybe that you have fallen into a stereotype more than you should. Myself, I'm definitely not more afraid of black teenages then white teenages, I'm nervous around all of them! As others have said, when I'm out walking around by myself it doesn't matter at all what skin color you have. If I pass a group of guys (old, young, whatever), then I innately get nervous. On the same note, if I pass a group of younger girls (teenage) then I might get nervous too. But the old woman don't usually make me nervous. Maybe I'm just a wimp. :crying:

It's still very difficult for me when I walk into the narrow tunnel underneath our local train station at 8pm to cross over to the other side and I see three black kids loitering in it, doing nothing. Still makes me a little nervous, even though I've been in the situation a million times and they've never done a thing. It's pretty irrational.

It sounds like you have subconcious prejudice. I have that too in those situations - and I can't rationalise it because I really have no reason to be. I've never been the victim of a crime by anyone so there's no reason I should feel apprehensive about that situation - unless I've somehow developed preconceptions based on what I've been exposed to in the media.

It does show that racism is pervasive and its not restricted to what you might imagine a racist to be.

That is not racism. That is what we call in military terms "situational awareness". I was taught the same thing in martial arts. If it was three white guys standing around with no reason to be there, I am sure A.J. would still pay attention to their actions, ready to run his #### off if he has to!

If there was at least one skateboard between the three of them, no. I'd not worry at all. Those kids are harmless.

But a shaved head and strange looking tats and I'll worry.
