Morning everyone. I am awake nice and early today. I received news of a friends death this morning. He was killed while serving his country in Afghanistan. A stupid roadside bombing. I am so sad. First time it has hit home, and it has hit hard. RIP Chris <3

Im so sorry for the loss of your friend. My thoughts and prayers are with you and his family and friends. It is sooo hard.

My dearest friends brother is in Iraq and no one has heard from him since the 8th. Its very hard during those times.

Its just another day over here in Riyadh. George is at work, Josh is taking a nap and I am watching a movie. Fun times i tell ya. I miss my family and friends.

June 11 05-Married George, civil ceremony in New York

May 30 08-Baby Joshua was born

Jan 15-Back to NY we go...

May 10-made decision not to go back overseas.

July 10-filed for divorce

Jan 11-Divorce final

July 11-1st trip to take Josh to see George

Mar 12-2nd trip to take Josh to see George

07/21/11 filed AOS off tourist visa

07/28/11 USCIS cashed check

07/30/11 Recieved NOA1 and Biometrics letter

08/24/2011 Biometrics

08/25/2011 RFE sent to us for some info we've already sent in

08/30/2011 sent in the rest of info USCIS asked for

09/13/2011 went to congressman's office to sign papers for expedite of work permit, due to financial hardship

09/15/2011 Work permit expedite approved!! He can finally find a job!

09/24/2011 work permit arrives

09/26/2011 Apply for social security number!

09/30/2011 Letter is sent for interview

11/07/2011 INTERVIEW!!!

Its 2012 and still no approval! Still waiting

01/27/2012 Letter sent stating that file was sent on for more review :(

Good Monday morning everyone!

Back to work so I can get a rest from the busy birthday weekend we had. Today is actually my son's birthday, but we had the big party this weekend and it was great. My baby is growing so fast.

Staashi, I hope you read this...while we were opening presents, my aunt said "Hey, LOOK!" and was pointing out the window to our backyard. I large hawk flew up and landed on a branch in our backyard and perched itself there for 15 minutes. Brought tears to my eyes. Hicham came over and gave me a hug! It made the day even more wonderful.

Keeping Annie in heavy thought and prayer today with her dad. (F)

Kelly: So very sorry to hear about your friend. I knew the feeling. It will be 10yrs on the 31st of this month since I lost a good friend. He was a cop for the city of Atlanta and was murdered one night on duty. I cant believe its been 10yrs. Once again so sorry.

I am watching a friend's 5 month baby today, he'll be here in a couple of hours. It will be the first time Amirah has been around a little one except in passing, I'm curious how she'll react. Probably either love him or hate him, she's not a very 'neutral' child :P

My best friend is really bumming cuz her boyfriend is deploying for Iraq in May.

He has been in the military for a long long time for his late 20s and when she met him, a few years back, he was just released from Iraq.

It is already taking its toll on her.

My boss is back from vaca...still not much work to do, but I know the worst is coming.

We had a blast! this weekend.

It was too much fun, spent way too much money going out like that but there is this Moroccan restaurant and on Saturdays they have LIVE arabic music, lots of dancin :dance: ...I was in heaven...it was great...just made hubby feel like home. All arabic peeps and all speaking in tongues and what have you.

The only problem being is ...even though they are arabic there are still descrepencies and prejudices even amongst the many sects of the Middle East :wacko: add the drinking to the mix and well :help:

Hello everyone. Home sick today with head and stomach ache. Hope I feel better soon.

I did receive an email from the embassy today "The case is pending consular's final review."

From what I have read in preveious threads this is good!?
