Well, this is how things stand at the moment...

i do think that you have quite a bit of supporting evidence (school records, police statements, etc) for the missing birth certificate. i am not worried for you anymore. you are informed and prepared. i think you will be able to satisfy the embassy. plus, it seems to me that if you have gotten this far along with out too much hassle about it, that you should move through this next part with no major problems.

thanks for the update. i worry about people here and these sorts of things. so it feels good to know you that you are feeling better about it all.

i cant imagine, with your level of organization and thoroughness, that you will have any problem with the interview. you have all of your documents in order (either in hand or on their way) and you are well-prepared for any questions raised about your birth certificate.

personally, though i am not all the way through this, nor am i the interviewee, nor do we have many complications with our application, i have found this part, between the NOA2 and the interview, to be a lot less scary and overwhelming than the process of filing the I-129F. just sort of bobbing along now.

thinking about it, i think my current peace of mind is probably due in great part to this place. i knew about and dabbled in vj for a couple of years. but until i got the NOA2, i think i was too scared to get my hopes up, because it would have been devastating to get denied. and even if that wasnt very probable, it was horrible to think about. so once that fear was dispatched, i could come here and feel part of it. i probably should have joined/posted earlier, but... i didnt. oh well.

That waiting period was so straining...but after a while, I just sat back and waited. This is more nervewracking to me considering how much hinges on this interview, and how my entire future is pinned on getting an approval. It makes me tense just thinking about it, but Knight's been amazing in reassuring me and keeping me together. VJ heps incredibly as well because we would have been utterly lost without the advice we get here.

i'm sorry this is happening to you, this is the last thing you need to be worrying about when you're trying to finish uni! i'm glad knight and his mum are doing their best to try and help resolve the problem and make you feel better too, it's nice to know you have people you can count on eh? :)

i'm sure if you explain everything and take all the supporting documentation with you that they will be understanding at the embassy.

Well :P talking to Knight helps...but at the same time, I can't help but feel jittery 'cause it's so close now. So much hinges on ONE conversation with someone you've never met...AAAAH! Makes my head wanna go POW.
