interview date changed

I am posting this here to inform people waiting at the interview stage (Manila Embassy) that some dates still available in march. We got early date because of medical reasons but maybe someone else can get it early too won't hurt to try if you already have your medical completed.

Just got off the phone with the scheduler at the Embassy, they did give us an earlier interview and my wife leaves in the morning for Manila to do her medical and will have the interview on April 3rd. We could have had 18th 19th or 20th of this month had we already had her medical but they said she needs that first and it takes 10 days from that to do an interview so the 3rd was the earliest we could get. At least it is not end of April anymore. I relayed the info to my doctor in the states so he can schedule me for exam as soon as we get to the states which will be asap after visa in hand. We will be waiting on the 3rd at the embassy for the visa instead of them mailing it to us. I couldn't believe they had dates still open in March. Wish we would have had the medical completed already.

I did the same thing. Got the medical cleared on March 6 Friday, and went on ahead and called the embassy and got a freed slot for March 10. Good luck!

I thought since i knew those dates are open i would post if someone is already complete on medical can use one of them

BTW happy dancer my wife had her CFO back in April 2007 do you think she will need again or it should still be good?

HI Mona,

Were you the one who called NVC for an interview date or they'll be the one to schedule you for an interview?

Same thing with the medical, can you schedule a date in your own convenience?

MMW- I have yet to explore that part. It never occured to me that that could be possible. I will call the CFO and get back with you. Remind me though.

our original date for the interview was set by NVC because we had a CR-1 application. the new date we got we did the scheduling by calling the 1-909-101-7878 number for the Embassy visa scheduling. The medical you can get anytime you want if you have the interview letter but even if you don't have that yet you can use your copy of the NOA-2 and do the medical. you don't have to schedule that it is a walk in basis at SLEC.

Ok, I just up with a St Lukes personnel from the Immigrant Visa Dept.

Your right Mona. Someone can just even provide the case number OR letter from the embassy then s/he can have his/her medical. Monday to friday 6-4pm.

Other requirements are,

3 pcs. 2x2 visa Pic

and a payment of Php 10, 454.15

I was at St. Mary's in katipunan earlier today and as i remember the person giving the counseling said that the certificate that they will attach to the passport has no expiry date unless when you are to marry another person then you need to apply for a new one.

CFO has no expiration date. Unless you will marry again that's what they've told us..
