If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive,and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Hello my ladies and gents!

I keep getting the emails from NVC with instructions on how to submit my packet and such and every time I get one I get so excited thinking my case is complete and its just instructions!! Boo Hiss!

Nothing new here. As Que will vouch, the weather in New York is improving!! Spring time please!!

What additonal fees have to be paid if you file the K3 visa? From the looks of things the K3 are getting approved around the same time as the CR1.

No extra fees, just more paperwork.

additional fees, as in compared to the CR1?

after approval, at the consulate or NVC stage(if CR1)

K3- 131 for visa application fee

& cost of the medical exam

CR1-

70 AOS fee

355. visa application fee

& medical exam

After entering the US, the k3 visa holder has to apply to adjust status. The total cost is 1010.00

If you choose to file for the Employment authorization before the AOS(to be able to work before AOS, and wait for the two year anniversary to file AOS as to get a 10 yr card, which will save you costs and headache from lifting conditions 2 years later) that is an additional 340.00

so the difference is:

CR1 total after approval:425.00 + medical

K3 total after approval: 131.00 + medical and then 1010.00 for AOS

Afternoon K3'ers! Aruba Dolphin I really feel for ya & sorry to hear this time is so difficult for you. I haven't calculated as much wait time as you have but if I did, I think I would probably sit in a corner in cry. Hopefully this week brings us all much better luck & happiness!!! :star:

Haven't been around all weekend, weather was so nice & it was great to get out & enjoy the sunshine (and the mall-

Were at day 272 for I130 & day 212 for I129f, approvals gotta be on its freakin' way :dance: (PPLLEEAASSEE!!!!!!)

Today is well lets see

329 days since we started the Visa process

it took 250 days to get my NOA2 for I-130

and 175 days for the I-129F

I got my NOA2's 46 days ago

Am stuck at NVC for 41 days and counting

my K-3 interview is in 15 days

Last time i was in USA 336 days and counting

Missing my husband for 68 miserable days

Just be honest, if he doesnt understand a question tell him to say so, and to relax :)
