NVC update

I called NVC and told them I don't care about their green process as it is not working for me and I want to receive everything in the mail, that's when the rep told me that their system is having problems generating an email out to me and now it has been transferred to a supervisor so that they can manually generate an email.

Now I am at the mercy of some idiot

Let's hope this person can resolve that for you! I am holding with them now to see if they still have these 2 systems or has it merged so as to avoid craziness down the line. I swear just when u think u are almost done

I agree this whole process is STUPID & FLAWED & AGGRAVATING :ranting: :protest:

I just got off the phone with the CIS. I never received NOA2's for my (2) I-130's that have already been approved OR my I-129F which is also approved. It's been a month. I will need them ... I think at least the K3 NOA2 when I go to adjust Ksenia's status. Someone with some better insight, your input is appreciated.

And guess what the nice people at the CIS told me ... I want me to file (3) I-824 forms ... at $340 each ... in order to get a simple piece of paper saying our files were approved by the CSC.

I basically told them "#### you" ... and I'm not that kind of person. It's their damn fault they didn't mail my NOA2 papers, not mine, and I'm not about to pay $1020 for their collective screw up. I didn't move ... they have the correct address on file ... I never got the papers ... put it together people

I know your frustration Jen ... 110% now. It's friggin' paperwork people, not brain surgery. But because they screw up, we are the one's that suffer. We are the ones getting totally screwed and WE are the citizens of this 'great' country.

Sorry everybody ... I am MORE than a little ticked off right now ...

got them to send us a copy atleast, they can't give original unless it gets returned to sender

Keeping our fingers crossed I just want to be done with NVC at this point!! This roller coaster ride is definitely not fun!! I got a very helpful lady who didn't mind answering qs about what might cause an RFE on filling out the DS 230. Now I'm freakin out about that one!! Mainly she said # 20 is almost always the reason the document is returned to u and also leaving anything blank as u're supposed to put N/A. She said for # 20, you must include all the addresses starting with when spouse was 16 yrs old and put month-present for the most current one. Hope this helps. Q, did you do urs like that? Since u didn't get any RFEs can u please shed some light on this for us? And she did say for # 14- I would have to include my name as opposed to leaving it blank!!! Q, what did you put for # 14 address of spouse if different than ur own? She said to write my US address eventhough it is mentioned in # 10 as well. This sucks! This whole process is so freakin' stressfulllllllllll (I need a stressful smiley). I should go to bed. I haven't been sleeping well lately!

I wrote the addresses I lived since I was born till present.. LOL.. I lived in Manila then lived more than 2 years in UAE then eventually returned to Manila last year to present..That's what i put in #20. I also put my husband's address in #10, #11 and #14. I made sure that all non-applicable questions have N/A..

Not to scare u but she said oftentimes #20 is the reason a lot of ppl get RFEs cz they put the addresses since they were born and it specifically asks u about ur 16th bday and onward. Did you put the year for where u currently live or put -present?

My address since I was born till I reached the age of 16 is the same..My address just changed when I went to UAE for work. I am still in the same parent's house till now.. So far it is just 2 addresses for me.. Manila and UAE.

For where I am currently living, I put from 01-2008 to present..

My # 20 is like this (complete address of course.. )

Manila 01-2008 Present

Dubai 12-2005 01-2008

Manila 08-1980 12-2005

I got a lady on the phone, my case is still waiting to be reviewed

they can see i send two packages but not what they are even

so that is not so good

But 1 my cr-1 cannot cancel my K-3

after I entered the US with K-3 I can get out got to the interview outside the US and get CR-1 instead of Adjustment of status

so that will skip the $1010 for adjustment of status

SO I FEEL BETTER NOW!

Ok I listed all since birth not many really just 4 addresses, which 1 is mentioned twice, before i went to college, adress in the states (college) back address in Aruba

probably since 16 is ok, because you where a minor and where you lived before that is not your choice

I listed the most recent address on the first line and worked backwards, Remember for the current address you need to say what ever date you moved to that address and the to field should be the word "Present". IF you put a date in the to field for the most recent address you are sure to get an RFE. I will check question 14 for you in the morning, I don't have the DS-230 in front of me at the moment.
