GS, you do know that we all plan on meeting in person when our spouses are all here, right? I say we book a few rooms in NYC. How freakin' cook would that be???????

I am all for it...but we might have to plan for a fall trip in NYC....

at the rate NVC is going I won't get aninterview now till June / July

Why do you figure July, Seren? I figure June at the latest depending on when we will get our case completed @ NVC and I highly doubt we will be done early April. I mean Candid is still waiting for case completion and it's been a while for her. So for us to get that May interview it would mean that our case is complete and reviewed by first week of April and time is running out as it's the 20th tomorrow! and NVC only schedules interviews the second week of each month for the following month, meaning if our case is complete by 1st/scd week of April, then we have a shot for May. If not, then June it is. Where are u getting July from?

Waving at Aruba. I can imagine how hard it is to pack everything! Hope u get out of NVCH soon!! :star::star::star::star::star:

The current wait for a interview in Montreal is about 90 days from NVC completion, That is why i need to have NVc completed by april first week for any chance of an earlier interview..

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

GEEZ!

I know its really wishful thinking but, you know we thought that it was going to be 60 days for us and we got it in 5 weeks. :) A lucky break, in the form of a quick interview date is in order for all of us poor saps that went through vsch.

Guess what guys? Something told me to check our online account to see if the bill was reflected as paid and IT WAS!! WOW I can't believe how fast things start moving with the new NVC online system. I am loving it!! I love being able to check the account online. Now we wait for hubby to mail us the required docs and for the lawyer to get the packet ready to send. I hope he moves fast and doesn't ask me to be patient!!! cz then I won't be too happy abt it  I am hoping all of our docs will be mailed out to NVC by next Friday! I am giving myself a week to get everything out. Let's see if it works.......

90 days seren?! :(:ranting:

On that note, Seren, it is very possible your case can be completed first week of April since things seem to be moving super fast once the bill is generated as they are now emailing them in duplicates!! I am so excited about this new email system. It used to be it took weeks to process things when they did things via regular mail. Imagine how much time we get to save! You are next! Sit tight!! It's coming!

GS, question when did your file get completed at NVC? and how long did it take to generate the bills for you?

hello everyone, waves and hugs for everyone!!

Jenn, it totally sucks that they can't tell you anything!!

CNT- welcome to the bunch!!!!

Seren, is your cae completed yet at NVC? are you waiting for the bills to be generated as well??

Que and Steve, waves for you!!

Holla everyone!!!!! ;)

Qestion for the guru, Que, if I pay the I-864 bill say next week and have not done my taxes for this year do I need to include them, or are they not needed since teh `deadline for taxes isn`'t until next month, how does that work`````?

thanks!!

I started a new topic for NVC for those of us going the CR1 route, let's see if we can get some helpful VJers to guide us.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=186041

Mayra, my case is NOT completed!! I just confirmed my 2 bills (AOS/IV fee bill) were paid on our online account and now need for hubby to FedEx all required docs and for my lawyer to quickly send the packet out to NVC. I WISHHHHHHHHH!! Waiting for the day when I will hear CASE COMPLETE and wishing on karma stars it will happen by early April (goal being to get a May interview) :star::star::star::star::star:

P.S. I have not filed as yet either and I don't think we need them as the APRIL 15 deadline has not passed.

Can you sked a K3 interview and try flipping it to CR1? Is that possible in your consulate?

I promise to love you in good times and in bad, with all I have to give and all that I am, in the only way I know how -- completely and forever......

Thank you all for being so welcoming! What a kind and caring group! No wonder you're all so close!

The last time I saw my husband is when we got married. I can only afford to see him twice a year at most. I'm hoping that I'll be able to go again soon. Maybe if we're lucky the next trip will be the last and then we can be together after that! I have been reading up and have also heard from others that many Moroccan men get thrown in administrative processing. I'm not sure who to believe. Some say it's for weeding out fraud marriages. Some say it's about security issues. Not that I can blame the US for being careful after 9/11! It's a scary thought though. Having to wait several months after approval :( I hope he gets here before I go into menopause ha ha! Oh but he's such a doll. Kindest, gentlest soul I've ever met. A true gentleman. My knight in shining armor ha ha! Who said chivalry is dead?

I called NVC and was able to get my case numbers. How exciting!!! Thank you for the phone number GS. Let me guess, GS is you and your husband's names right? Ha ha! I kind've copied you I guess!
