Hello everyone, I am currently awaiting the NOA1 and am looking into the I-134 from.. My parents are going to help co-sponsor since at this time I am a full-time student and work part-time (w/o making the poverty requirements).

I know that both me and my "co-sponser" will have to fill out a I-134 from but here is my situation.. I expect to leave this part time job in August when my lease is up and move into my co-sponsors house and find a job, while a prepare for Graduate School.

I am confused on how I should fill out my I-134 from.. by the time we have our interview there is a good chance that i would have left my job.. Like i mentioned my father makes above the poverty lines will be our "co-sponsor".. So does my I-134 form really matter much? If so what should i include or do? Thanks so much! Josh & Leona

Wait till you are closer to interview. The interview may very well not be till after August.

Compile your I-134 for the situation at that time.

Have your parents compile their I-134 also at that time.

Best to wait until you've been approved and are closer to the consulate/embassy interview stage to complete the I-134 since a lot can change between now and then. If it turns out that you're unemployed at the time - you simply complete the I-134 using that information.

Later is good but "parent" singular acts as sponsor, not both.

Thanks a lot for the replies, I guess it would be wise to just hold off on the I-134 for a little while and just save up my pay stubs.

On another note, does anyone have exactly what is required in "packet 3" or for the interview than we can do now? I know that a medial examination is required, along with a criminal record report, birth certificate, and some stuff from the copied I-129f packet, and more ongoing relation evidence for the interview.. But does anyone have exactly what forms are needed? and what else we can do NOW to prepare? THANKS AGAIN!

btw: just received our NOA1 today :) .. its a start

Introduction letter, Notification of readiness, DS-156, DS-156K, I-134 (2007), DS-230. I think that's it, and one of those is online, 230 I think. Trust me, as long as you've gotten your police cert and done your medical you'll be fine. Oh and I think police certs are only valid for 6 months so she should wait until you get your noa2 email. It'll take about 3 weeks to get her cert, so from noa2 email to interview she'll have enough time to receive it and it'll still most likely be valid at interview time.

Update: They said because his name on his birth cert doesn't match his passport (apparently they left off the last 2 letters on the birth cert for some reason) he has to go get some sort of stamp that he is the same person and then mail them his passport and they'll mail it back to him. Otherwise he passed. So that's it, we're done til POE and AOS!
