As we review the Moscow embassy vaccination requirements, my fiance (46) has not had any shots in the last 10 years and is unable to obtain any records from her past (childhood forward) vaccinations. There are only a couple vaccinations that appear to require current proof (based on the age requirements). I also recall reading somewhere that the true vaccination requirements apply at AOS, after marriage.

Two questions:

Can she avoid vaccinations (until we marry -- ie, after entry under a K-1)?

If the embassy requires vaccinations prior to issuance of the K-1, are just the adult ones required or must she get shots that are childhood shots because she cannot locate her Soviet-era records?

Thanks in advance.

She won't need vaccinations until you file for adjustment of status after you are married. She does not need them for the K-1 visa.

That said, I would think it would be easy for her to get the records. The Soviets were damn good about such things. My wife walked right over to the hospital where she went as a child and they pulled the records right out of the file for her. It was probably the easiest document we collected. The medical clinic translated them onto the the form, I think it is form 3025 or something like that. It is all we needed for AOS.
