Hi,

My fiance's visa interview is in Havana, Cuba in May. I am curious to find out, once he is granted his visa and gets his carta blanca to exit Cuba, what is the Point of Entry for him? Does he buy a ticket to Miami...are there direct flights? Or do I buy one for him? Does it have to be round trip or can it be one way? I live in California so it would be easier for him to go through Cancun, but he said he had to have a visa to pass through Mexico. Any info would be helpful.

Hi there

I think farecompare can show which airlines make the trip. As of now I think its 8 airlines making the flight from Havanna to several US cities. Watch out for the fares though.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

If there are flights leaving from LA, NY, MIA then I don't see why there wouldn't be flights come in to those airports BUT be forwarned, they are not cheap. My fiancee paid 250 (well I did, lol) for a one way (that answers your second question, yes one way) flight to MIAMI (outrageous price). If he feels comfortable taking a second flight why don't you just buy him a flight from Miami to California? I think the offices are in Playa or Marianao, Habana; I'll ask my fiancee the info for the office that she went to and post it later. And yes, Mexico ($200-$250 one way) and Canada ($315 one way) both require a transit visa to enter their airports on your way to USA. if for some reason you want him to come through one of those countries then he can go to their embassy (all embassies are in either Vedado or Playa/Marianao - Habana) with his Cuban passport with U.S visa and fill out the forms for a transit visa which they say takes 3-4 weeks to get (but its free)

My Financee's interview was last Tuesday. She was actually forced to have two on this past Feb and the other with me on the phone this past May 5th. She was denied officer said that her petitiion was for immigration purposes only. I don't understand if I went to Cuba twice write emails back and fourth every day and send her money how that can be denied. Also I started the paperwork in Sept and In Oct I already took out the appointment date. Please if someone can help me on this matter. All I know now is the it will be sent back to DHS with recommendation for denial.
