I was granted my 2yr conditional greencard in Oct 2005. I have never received the card or welcome letter, After many phone calls and 2 info pass appointments. today I again make the track into Boston for another info pass after receiving a letter telling me that all my files had been brought back to Boston from MSC,

We arrive at 6.30am this morning for a 7-15am appointment waited about 10 minutes, was called to the counter to be told that they had looked into my files and found that a mistake had been made on their side and I will have my greencard in my hand within 10 business days

I walked away feeling somewhat pleased but also a bit frustrated that it has taken them 8mths to realise this

Now lets hope I DO receive the card in 10 days

This is interesting because almost the same thing happened to us, but we didn't have to wait quite so long. Our greencard was approved on 3-6-06 and we received an approval letter from our local office but no Welcome to America letter or greencard. We had an InfoPass appointment on 6-8-06, and the immigration officer said that a button had not been pushed, and that's why we had yet to receive anything. It's amazing, one little button. Well 11 days later we got the greencard.

Good luck, I'm sure the greencard will arrive soon.

Same thing happend to us, Lynny. The file was sent to storage without making the new card. We waited 5 months and InfoPassed & that's how they found the error. Card was produced and delivered inside of a week.

I know it's a hassle, but remember that you are a Permanent Resident with or without the card.

There's a famous VJ member who got all the way to US citizenship without getting his actual green card. :)
