I-134 and Child support

Hey all,

Im in the process of doing my I-134 and was wondering if I could add child support, and were on the form would I put it?? And would I mark my son as partially dependent because he gets child support??

Yes. IF you have court ordered child support and have check stubs to prove it is being paid you can count it. It is added to any job income for a "total income' Enter your "total income" on the form and where it asks name of company, put "see attached" Attach a separate sheet explaning your different forms of income.

Attach a copy of your court order and some check stubs, 2-3 months worth.

what about children being petitioned ... my ex gives me a good chunk of child support, would my husband be able to claim that as income to prove that, even though its not considered as 'income' in Canada?

Doesn't have to be check stubs.

As long as you can show you are receiving the support consistently, it can be used.

If I'm following you correctly, I think it would be difficult.

Does your US citizen husband need to show more income to bring you and your child over?
