i'm not sure this is the right place to post my question ..but feel free to move it where ever u want

i know the visa is valid for 6 months.... can i do anything to renew it or do i have to start over the whole process??

there are many different kinds of visas.... what visa are you referring to?

visa extensions are at the consulate discretion... some will and some will not... you need to get in contact with the issuing consulate and ask

In most cases, visas will only be renewed if you have a very good reason (kids who will immigrate with you still in school and you want to wait till the holidays, immediate relative died and you need to settle the estate etc)

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

My husband's interview is coming soon, and i was wondering if we can can extend the initial 6 months granted after our cr-1 is approved at the embassy? My husband is working on a project that needs to be completed before he leaves. any help is appreciated.
