Hi!

Can anyone tell me how you know if your case arrived at NVC and how you get a case number. Our approval notice was dated Februar 27th and we got the hard copy March 7th.

We still haven´t heard anything. Does the petitioner get a letter again?

I really hope we are not in security checks again?

Or do you get stuck in security checks every time when you got stuck in them once?

- I hope not!

We are so ready to finally get married!

You can call the NVC (603) 334-0700

For the K-1 you'll have to speak to someone. Press 1 for English, then 5 to speak to someone. Be prepared t give them your receipt number and date of birth for both beneficiary and petitioner.

They will be able to tell you the case number they assigned it, if it arrived yet, or if it was sent to the embassy.

Good luck!

Brni, the OP is doing a K-1. No need for the agent form.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Some K1's, in fact more all the time are getting stuck at NVC..we were there over 7 weeks. Ring and ask.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Hey, you were approved at CSC a day before us! It took my fiance a few days to actually get through to NVC. Their lines are always so busy. If it makes you feel any easier, our case got there on 3rd March & left on 5th March. Hopefully yours will already be at the embassy!

Good Luck.

So just to be clear, you have to talk to an operator if you are an K-1 filer? I tried that but have not been able to get through yet. So I tried pressing "1" and entering my USCIS case number. It said they have no record of my case yet. But that might just be just because it is a K-1 visa. Could some clarify? Thanks.

Thanks for the tip. I was calling last night and couldn't get through. I like how the message tells you to call back after 6:00p. I was 11:00p already! :)

Anyway, I got through this morning and they have received our case.
