Does anyone know if VSC work over the weekend to clear the petitions or is it normal business hours? Any advice would be much appreciated???

nope, closed on weekends n major holidays

Thanks for that, much appreciated. Wishful thinking I think on my behalf :bonk: 1st of April will be six months for me waiting and silly me thought it would be a lot sooner ..... I suppose it did'nt help the woman at the American Embassy in London told me it normally takes 3 months!!!!That was before we sent our petition and before I found this wonderful website! Oh well ... back on the rollercoaster :help: M x

They aren't open, but many people get approvals over the weekend, and at odd hours. There was a thread some time ago, in which a former adjudicator at the Nebraska Service Center answered some questions. He said that employees often have flexible hours and sometimes take their work home, or work weekends.

You never know... Good luck to you! Any day now!

Well that's interesting? It would be interesting to see the thread if you still know the link? I am suprised to hear that some of them take their work home with them...however if it means they can work through more cases over the weekend then that can only be good news for us waiting! Thankyou for the info  M x

Yep will do! At least you/they have noticed now, and they know it's their mistake. I can see that being resolved pretty sharpish M x

My petition was touched on Sunday March 1st. I believe this was it being checked out of USCIS and on its way to NVC. There have been several approvals of late that were over the weekend. Though the office may be closed, the adjudicators are still working away!

To a safe and swift journey!

Thankyou, That's what prompted me to ask the question.... I thought there had been a few that were notified over the weekend??? Ha Ha that means I can continue with my obsessive ritual of checking the USCIS website over the weekends then  Mx

Just in case you were unaware, USCIS does not always update online once you're approved, nor do they always send you an email.

In our case, it was updated first by a touch, then a change of status, and finally an email. All this took place over the period of a few hours in a single day.

Yes ... I was aware of that, however I am sure there are some people on here that werent, so thanks for that. I would really be happy with just a touch at the moment then I know it's being looked at but nothing at all??? It's such a hard process all this really plays havoc on your nerves!! I know I am not telling you something you dont already know but it's nice just to be able to vent sometimes. M x
