My wife and I went to the Montreal@Pittsburgh hockey game on Tuesday. I'm a lifelong Canadiens fan, and my wife and I met through the Penguins official message board, so it was very cool to go to the game together. We have tickets to go to the next meeting between the two teams in April, and then on Tuesday a friend of ours from the Pens message board asked if we wanted to use her two season tickets, as she was unable to make it to the game. So we got to go to the Tuesday game too. It was awesome (even though the Penguins won by a soccer-type score of 1-0). B-)

That's the only thing that sucks with living in alaska, every time we want to see a NHL or a nfl game we have to make it such a big deal flying long hours and what not. But it's worth it :yes:

I already got one of those table flags and a couple of bags of little toothpick flags for birthdays.

Are there any spices that he likes that you won't find over here maybe? I got my mum sending me that kinda stuff all the time.

If he likes candy, stock up on candy. When I was still living in Sweden, I sent Ahlgrens bilar and Jenka chewing gum (has a root beer-y flavor) to my wife a couple times, and shipping was way more expensive than the actual candy.

They are the most ridiculous pain in the ####.... especially when you begin to add anything beyond straight income with W2s. :wacko:

I think America needs to simplify the tax code just a wee bit.

Our visa was printed today, thank goodness, and I hope we get it soon. :unsure: For future reference for other people who use Frost in Aarhus, the medical results take a little under 2 weeks to get to the embassy if not over a long holiday weekend.

I haven't, but I did look into it the other way around and it seemed like it would be pretty expensive. :o
